Any lifelong social welfare / non workers here?

I was on it for a couple of years, I had been employed before I was on it tho, since I left school, so I started work at 17. I just didn't do nothing all day, I did courses & got some extra qualifications, to get myself self-employed which is the best thing to be in a neo-liberal capitalist economy.

I wouldn't change too much about it, it was just enough to get by in hard times which is why it's there.

In response to your questions, I live with parents. I get £81 per week on Universal Credit. I spend the day browsing the web, helping clean the house, eating junk food and watching TV shows. The past few months I have been addicted to posting on an incel unemployed forum called NEETS.me but i stopped posting there as I think spending all day on forums is bad for me.

I have been out of education almost 8 years. I have had over 10 jobs that I left shortly after. In total I have only ever worked for about 18 months in total. My longest lasting job was 7 months.

What do you think of the people who do work, do you see them as idiots or do you appreciate their work?

In some ways I envy them as they may have less free time but they are still more functioning in this world and can hold friendships, etc. I probably would trade with them if I had the chance of a healthy mind.

Do you feel that you are entitled to your benefits?

I don't really care, I suppose you could say that my father paid taxes for 45 years so it is not like I come from a family of leaches. Another way of looking at it is that even if there was no unemployed people, tax payers would just lose that money some other way. The government would just find another excuse to take that money from them. Overall I don't care, society can feel free to murder me if they are so angry about me taking £81 per week. My question to them is, why not spend more time worrying about the politicians taking your money and the British royal family.

How would you improve the system, what would you change?

My current situation is that I feel that I am too ill to work but not ill enough to be accepted for disability benefits. Society needs to find a better system to find suitable jobs for people who can't hack normal life. The system at the moment is just having a welfare officer force you to apply for any job that is going and they sanction you if you don't apply. Then they virtue signal about mental health.

Recently I was enforced to go to this CBT therapist by the welfare system. He said that CBT probably wouldn't work for me as I am most likely an Autist. There you go, society tells you to "seek help" and then you are met with this confusing situation when you do visit the therapist.
