You are given the outline of a country and you have 6 goes to get the correct country. The only other clues given is how far away in km's your guess is from the actual country.

Yes, the arrow is to do with the direction of the country from your guess.

I have decided to take exactly the same approach!

I have quite enough of a headache trying to keep up with all the others in the Wordle thread.

It's incredible how hard it is to guess, say, 4315km is in any one direction! I know the width and directions over the Atlantic from here, and that's about it.

Answer 1 was 265km out. The direction arrow actually nearly threw me off my 2nd attempt but I knew the shape wasn't correct for where it was pointing to.

One of the lads from work is from there. My estimate of distances is shocking by the way, 3rd choice was the wrong continent.

the distance estimate can be misleading. the distance given is the distance between the center of mass of both countries. so the distance between the US and Canada is in the region of 2000KM according to the worldle algorithm even though they share a border.
