One of Leicester's problems is that Rodgers can't coach a defensive line, his solution to the issue has been to rely on Johnny Evans to marshal the back line. They picked up 3 wins in the 11 league games where Evans has been unavailable. Fofana has also been a big loss this season and Soyuncu has shown that he needs somebody beside him to tell him what to do. Vestergaard was signed as an experienced defender from Southampton for £15M and has started 5/6 league games despite the fact that they are short central defenders.

Taking Ndidi out of midfield to fill the gap is the same mistake Klopp made last season. If Ndidi played in his natural midfield position then Leicester would not be such a push over in midfield and the defenders wouldn't be so exposed.

Up front it's the Jamie Vardy show and when Vardy is unavailable, weird things happen. Daka and Iheanacho destroyed Spartak Moscow in the Europa League but they have never started together in the domestic league. Daka and Madison started as a front two against Villa in December, the experiment didn't work and Iheanacho was introduced in the dying minutes to try to rescue a point. Daka has shown that he will score goals if given opportunities. Iheanacho proved to be a problem for Man City, there is a player there too. Rodgers doesn't seem to know how to use the two of them.

Thought Keita had a good first half. Henderson on the other hand was poor. Henderson was having a very good start to the season IMO but the last 2 months have been bad.

Small complaints. Happy with the lead. Now to retain it.

Gas halftime 'analysis' by Keys/Gray on Bein. Show all Burnley's attempts which mostly would've been given as offside had they actually went in - called good chances nonetheless - and not a mention of the stonewall penalty not given to Salah. Keeps the plucky underdog narrative going though...
