When applying for motor insurance they always ask the question, any previous accidents claims or convictions, does this relate to your motoring history only or claims in general ? If you had a claim on your house insurance should you tell your motor insurer ?

They are asking about motor claims or motoring convictions usually up to 5 years ago.

Every time I renew I'm asked about any claims they never mention motoring claims. I've a bike and car which have 2 entirely separate policies, if I make a claim on the bike I have to tell the car and vice versa. A household claim will have zero impact on a motoring policy but not telling them about it can.
