Yes I was expecting a great close game but turned it off

Nice goal from Aine O'Sullivan. Better 2nd half but both sides have made plenty subs so the game has changed a bit. Some of the Cork subs look very young

Cork footballers getting some roasting up in Derry. We are going down to division 3 next year based on this. Ricken hasn't done nothing for this team since taking over. Going backwards just like McCarthy did with the team. I know Ricken is trying new players but only to score 7 points from play says enough that the boys aren't good enough simple as. I don't mind losing and be very competitive but we are well off the levels required and no disrespect to Derry but they aren't the best team to come out of Ulster at the moment. We couldn't beat Roscommon or Clare either who also aren't major superpowers for Football. Very worrying for Cork football going forward. It could take decades for them to get back to the top table again.

Davy Fitz got into physical scrap at Cork Clare Camogie. Clare coach came over to Cork’s side of coach area and mouthed off. Ended up in punches thrown (and Davy sent off)

Completely embarrassing on everyone but not sure why Clare coach was over there (guessing him and Davy know each other from previous and he said something).

    Not a good look

Ya by 8 points. 1 point down at half time against massive wind. Actually said Clare will score less than 0-2 in 2nd half and they scored nothing.

Cork forward line not great. Mackey well off the pace. Sorcha McCarton’s first competitive game she was ok I suppose. Clearly a good hurler though (saw some of her games for Finbarrs last year).

I'm on Ticketmaster now about to buy tickets for the Gaelic Grounds tomorrow, the only ticket option I can see is General Admission.

Maybe someone here can confirm before I press Buy, does your ticket allow you to enter anywhere in the stadium? I expected to see options to buy in Mackey Stand, Uncovered, terrace etc and it would be General Admission within the stand you bought for.

Does anyone have the team list for Cork’s (against Limerick Senior Camogie) today? Oddly don’t see it for Cork (have Limerick’s)

    Thanks

Cork 2-17 Galway 3-22 FT. Level at half time but Galway got 2 goals in 2 min halfway through the 2nd half.

Cork 5-17 Limerick 0-6 in the camogie

Keith Ricken just said Sean Powter will miss Cork's last three league games with a hamstring injury.

    Huge loss for us

The Cork team to play Limerick. Looks a good team

Under a general admission ticket you can go into any stand in there. I was at the Harty final and was in the Mackey stand with a general admission ticket.

Thats a good Cork team. I think Kingston is giving the full back line a chance to wipe the slate clean after the All Ireland final. I like the look of the full forward line . Shane Barrett is very good on the ball. Darragh Fitzgibbon is due a big game against Limerick.

Unbelievable first half performance. Limerick have hit about 4 or 5 awful wides

You can see Cork are trying to put down a marker not to get bullied by Limerick. Kingston really was reckless there and then Limerick came back with their own reckless challenge and a red too.

Some great interplay from Cork and all playing well. Barrett is really stepping up as well as others. Great to see.

The ref looks like he is in Transition Year and doing this game for Work Experience!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

WTF was Niall O'Leary doing there? Messing about with it and gifts them a goal. Then he gets injured from it too.

Its this brain dead stuff that costs us in the big games. Just let the ball go

  • Registered Users Posts: 83 ✭✭Hopontop

Brainless stuff, but he should have had a free, it looked like Cian Lynch gave him a slap in the head

Very nice win there. Cork were really showing that we were not going to be pushed around by Limerick. Really got stuck into them.

Fitzgibbon, Coleman, Barrett and Joyce were really good today. I really liked the way Collins ran forward to one of the sides to give an "out" sometimes. If he stays back, its just like a puck out but him coming out a bit to the sides draws the opposition player up and this creates a space or at least a "puck out" from farther up the field. Of course he has to be careful and use it wisely too!

You can see a lot of work has been put in up until now on various things like being physical and interplay. Things are going nicely for us. Lehane gave a good half and then seemed to lose his way at the start of the second and was promptly subbed with Cahalane. I would rather he give it a full half like that playing well and then being subbed rather than doing ok for a full game. Cahalane did well too when he came on.

We seem to have more options this year as I forgot about Harnedy until he came on as a sub. This will take pressure off him. Really happy tonight but still a long way to go.

I was impressed with Cork. Some very good shooting and used the goalie well as an extra man. Good goals. Millerick is the 'steady Eddie' thats needed back in the backs. Fitzgibbon had his best game against Limerick in years. Lehane was good aswell. Just an all round good display. It augurs well for Championship.

Lovely performance by Cork. Still not even March but its a good boost

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

attitude and workrate counts for so much. Yes, Kingston deserved his red but great to see us put in some great tackles and work really hard. Challenge now of course is to do it in every game

Cork 1-13 Galway 0-11 at Half Time

We are playing well except for when Galway just play a long ball into our defence and we are not attacking the ball. We are hanging on at times when that happened. Collins taking a bit too long to clear almost cost us like Niall O'Leary last week.

Still and all we look to be playing well with Hoggie getting a good goal. Barrett looks like he is improving every game. Rob Downey gave a horrible pass that led to a Galway point. If we can cut out these kind of mistakes then things will be going nicely.

Our use of the ball looks very good and we look far more physical this year. We don't look soft like we did in years before.

    Cork 1-26 Galway 0-23 FT

Very happy with the win. Our interplay has been exceptional just like last week. As I said at HT, we really tackle now in packs and look like a physical team finally. The work rate this year is a huge difference as it looks like all have bought into the plan.

We could have got a few goals but good keeping and maybe the wrong option taken cost us. I feel like we can still improve and we are in a good place. Lot of good performances tonight.
