plenty of big names still to be announced as staying or leaving..

Im inclined to agree but i wonder does it give each player their few minutes in the spotlight? Maybe announcing a whole load at once would mean the top few and the bolters get noticed and the rest are not really noticed. Maybe we're more likely to notice and remember if they drip feed it.

I think the drip feeding is a pain in the arse. It just leads to questions over who's leaving, who's unsigned and who's still under a previous contract.

I'd rather they announced the squad for next season including who's under a new deal.

Surprised that those who are leaving don't make an announcement.

Very happy to see M.O.R and T.O.B getting a run out. I'm seriously thinking that the smaller squad will lead to some lads moving on and improving so much, that they're better than who we keep!

    Brilliant handling for that try.

Offload from TOB opened up the Lions defence.

    What a great try

Great try, Tommy O'Brien showing impressive hands there to get that offload away and Steward puts it down in the corner.

Nick Mccarthy having a troubled start!

Before the penalty did a lion's player not dive on a Leinster player on the ground??

    Lucky with that intercept.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

That should be a leinster penalty there

This is a pretty good game, Lions are decent but struggling with the pace Leinster are playing at.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,205 ✭✭✭crisco10

Lol. How did the touch judge not see that?

    Leinster strugging for the ball

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,172 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster have been very poor in this opening 20 minutes.

Tommy O'Brien having a very good game.

Utter rubbish from Leinster and McCarthy.

Decline in standards evident to see.

Nick McCarthy not doing us much favours here, Bulls failing to clear there pretty mental.

    Ffs.

Nice half break from Ross. I'm convinced he moves faster than it looks.

Is luke our sub 9? Can he come on at half time?

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,172 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

By rights Leinster should be losing.

Lions are.one of the worst sides in the league but we're really struggling.

Time to switch over to the 20’s.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,205 ✭✭✭crisco10

I was hoping with this being the 3rd week in a row for the non international team that the cohesion would be coming through. And it's not really, seems to be a decent wind in the rds which leinstwr will have in 2nd half but lots of soft penalties, fumbles, scrum that seem to show a lack of focus or something from Leinster.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,205 ✭✭✭crisco10

Not sure he got that down

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,219 ✭✭✭A-Train

Terrible performance in that 1st half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,172 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

I reckon that's probably a try, but the call made the referee means it won't be awarded.

Regardless if that, it's an incredibly poor performance. Leinsters second string have evidently declined when compared to previous seasons.

I don’t bring those thoughts up anymore as I normally get accused of being one eyed.

Lions very physical and we're not able to run over them like a lot of other teams. Contemponi hit the nail on the head there, tempo is what has us in front and we need to keep the ball moving through the hands as we're not powering through these lads.

Personally think this is a good game, motm for Leinster so far either Ross Byrne or Tommy O'Brien.
