Hi I recently bought a second hand house and there seems to be a “Secure watch HKC” alarm installed. Is there anyway that I can reset the pin because I do not know what it is set to? I can attach a picture:

    Thanks for the help

To reset you can try a default of the system.

Down power by mains and battery, remove factory link on the board and power back up on mains or battery.

The keypad will give the option to default the system and the system will need to be reprogrammed.

If engineer locked appears you will an engineer to do this for you.

Sorry for jumping in but can't seem to start new discussion!...

Anyway....I Inherited a HKC alarm when buying house a number of years ago. Worked away up to last week when power outage for transfer to smart meter by ESB.

Couldn't get alarm to go off when power was restored so took off cover of main unit and removed a wire which shut down alarm. Following day i powered it up again and it now seems to now be back to default setting, as in when i press 0#7 to set alarm at night, it doesn't seem to have any zones inhibited and the alarm goes off once the sensor in hall gets broken.

Is there a way for me to remove this zone from the 0#7 setting our will it require a call out? Is there an engineer manual that i could use...i see the user one online and this didn't go into that detail

    Thanks

Have you engineer code? Is it the securewatch or securewave.

Securewatch.. No code that i know of unfortunately. Rang the original installer when i couldn't get alarm to stop with my code. She recommended another code, prob the default code, and this stopped the siren.

Seems to have reverted to this default code now, only issue now is the 0#7 has not inhibited the hall sensor.

    Thanks

The default engineer code is 4567.

Once in engineer mode go to the zone menu, zone options, scroll to the zone you want off in PGA (0#7)

Scroll to PGA and select Y in there.

This will turn it off in partset for you.

No problem, don't forget to go into the user menu to change the user code.

Thanks again - tried to change from the default code last night by pressing 0XXXX and hoping to then press unset before it arms. Doesnt seem to be doing this for me - will look at it again when i get home.

    Thanks

If the system defaulted then user manage menu would not be set up to allow you change the code that way.

In saying that, if you have the engineer code you have full rights for changing settings so don't necessarily need it set up.

Go into engineer mode and scroll to the user menu, user codes. In here you can change the code.

Apologies for jumping on this thread but wondering is there anyway of stopping the internal alarm chirping intermittently while waiting on engineer call out to replace back up battery…it stops for hrs at a time and then usually decides 5am is a good time to start back up!! I know the engineers code if that is any use to me. Thanks

Hi Folks I see a few of you got sorted here so hoping I might be able to glean some info from you. I have a HKC Secure watch alarm as per the original OP's pic - at one point the alarm would send text notifications if the alarm went off, but now doesn't I've no recollection of when that stopped and I believe it was originally hooked up to the landline.

Any ideas on how I could get this reinstated? Do I need a SIMC card option for the system?

The don't anymore is the simple answer.

You could update the system and have an app which will give you remote access plus the alarm activations.

Thanks Altor any ballpark idea of what that would cost? Is it just the Software that needs updating then to work with the app?

I don't give out pricing on boards but if you contact local installers they will quote you for same.

You could add the universal GSM/Wi-Fi to the system but you would get more information from the alarm by upgrading to the latest version of panel. Its also a hybrid system so can take wireless sensors if ever needed.
