Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can you blame them? Fella comes across an awful clown who has no disapline . Zero tactics how he got another year is comical

Jesus that looked like a bad arm break for the Tyrone lad

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,151 ✭✭✭✭JRant

That's the end of McNulty's season. Arm flapping the wrong way after a fairly innocuous coming together. Jaysus, ya hate to see that type of injury.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

    Awful game.

Pitch is shocking for a game at this level. Some humps and hollows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,913 ✭✭✭Charles Babbage

sure the roads in Donegal are like that.

Donegal picked themselves up rightly after the first half goal. They are hard beaten in Ballybofey.

Monaghan away to Kildare and Donegal in subsequent games, they may find it hard to get points.

Cork and Galway put up hurling scores in their game today

Tyrone winning the AI was just one of those Cork 2010 or Clare 2013 incidents.

They'd be lucky to win Ulster this year.

Not good for them to be losing to that Donegal side, who passed and kicked the ball backwards and sidewards to new levels last week.

As bad as Dublin have been, they can still easily catch a few of these teams yet.

Without some sort of resurrection of Dublin any of the top 10 teams can win this year.

History is often stronger than youight think in situations like this. Donegal has a great home record in Ballybofey. They have not lost to Tyrone there in over ten years. Home advantage is worth 3+ points there.

I would not write off Tyrone yet. There training is behind other counties at present. They will be there come championship

Have people already forgotten Tyrone's trip to Kerry in the 2021 league and what we learned about it a few months later ?

Even though I don't think Tyrone are building a "team of the decade" dynasty from their 2021 All Ireland I'm not going to write them off as contenders for 2022 based on a league game in Ballybofey.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

I agree with half of both of the above posts in part.

Mayo should have won Sam better squad on paper - more experienced sideline IMO. But they blew it big style. But Tyrone are a good side proving Sean Cavanagh correct that Micky Harte was holding Tyrone back with his tactics. Tyrone are a much better watch now under Dooher/Lohan a much more dangerous team.

On Donegal Ballybofey is a fortress for Donegal against anyone. I remember a good few years ago 2017. A flying Dublin team played Donegal up there

Donegal had an experimental team named, and the Donegal fans were not expecting much prematch, but Donegal were brilliant.

They got a draw - great all round performance.

I remember been particularly impressed with Thompson for Donegal.

Nice gap opening up for the lilywhites, Daniel Flynn is a class forward.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,475 ✭✭✭JustJoe7240

Bit of a freak athletically, Decision making is way off top class though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,312 ✭✭✭munster87

Dessie looks a bit clueless on the line.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Yep, last year in championship the only time he ran at Dublin defence he got a goal.

Kildare look like they will coast this. Dublin will only get worse as the pressure mounts, I predict. It's a bit of a shambles from a Dublin point of view.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

All the momentum now with Kildare, could be another embarrassing day out for the Dubs.

    Division 2 looms large!

Who is going to create a 'what has gone wrong with Dublin football?' thread?

My heart is not in it. Sickened watching the same sh!te for the last year. Its worst it is getting. The lads will find it difficult to pick themselves up now no matter who is in charge.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

How did they mess up that goal chance!?

3 wides in a row and gilt edged goal chance missed for Dublin.

Dublin the only team across all four divisions on zero points.

Incredible really. And it's a true reflection of their performances too.

When was the last time a Leinster team beat Dublin competitively (league or championship)? Meath in 2010?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 767 ✭✭✭technocrat

Won't get any easier with 3 Ulster counties left to play.

Monaghan and Tyrone games will be relegation battles and are away matches.

I could see them finishing up with 0 points going on current form!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,345 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Mayo with a late rally to beat Armagh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,912 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

I think you are right. Meath came close to causing a shock last year. Wexford did ok last year made Dublin look ordinary.

Kildare played the wrong tactics against Dublin in Leinster went to avoid a beating instead of running at Dublin.

If they did Dan Flynn would have got more than his 1 goal last year against Dublin.

    --

Anyway I am off to look at google maps for those div2 teams. And tune the sat nav up for next year.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Ukraine will but up a better fight v Russia than the sh!te Dublin have produced since Dublin played Wexford in last year's championship.

What do they call it these days - 'learnings?'

Sideline is the major fault IMO.

And tune the sat nav up for next year.

Make sure the first address you put into it is Parnell Park :)

And the second Ennis Rd. Limerick. We are slight favourites for promotion after today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,978 ✭✭✭✭Bass Reeves

Having watched a good few National league matches and with Dublin now very likly relegated You be hoping that Kildare, Donegal and Tyrone survive as opposed to Monaghan. Nothing against Monoghan but because of there age profile and needing to go through a team rebuilding excerise, Kildare, donegal and Tyrone will be better for football in the medium term. A second year in D! could really benefit Kildare.

Rain has been pretty heavy in Limerick for the last hour and only supposed to get worse between now and 7. Gonna be a pretty sloppy pitch for the match tonight

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,441 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Big win for Offaly today to get out of the drop zone in division 2. Can't see Down avoiding relegation now. I'd expect the loser in Navan tomorrow to go down with them.

Surely someone has to use common sense with the RTE presentation, out in the lashing rain again. There has to be an area in the stand that could be used. They look so stupid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,847 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

Coverage on RTE, all pundits getting saturated. How embarrassing of a presentation.

A bit ridiculous that RTE haven’t some sort of box for their presentation at these games. Looks terrible.

Why have both sides in dark jerseys, would be easier to tell them apart if one side stayed in green.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,122 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Wasn't that a thing started during Covid. Bit stupid to still have them out there like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,847 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

AOS completely anonymous. He shouldn't be in the panel, never mind starting matches like this at 11

  • Registered Users Posts: 60 ✭✭quidel7

The change of jerseys tonight hasn’t made it any easier for the viewer.

    Aidan O'Shea is dire.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60 ✭✭quidel7

AOS is not a dominant figure In the play so far on a night that he should be having far more of an impact.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,232 ✭✭✭TheRiverman

Mayo's old failings, two clearcut goal chances missed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,239 ✭✭✭Pussyhands

Can't stand this thing of keepers coming up to take 45s etc. If you don't have a forward that can kick a ball over then it's bad.

And it's not like these keepers have impeccable records. They're average at them.

    Wastes far too much time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60 ✭✭quidel7

Tony Brosnan is surely a better option than Paul geaney this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,809 ✭✭✭MacDanger

Kerry #21 pulled for an off the ground there - isn't there a rule that you can play the ball on the ground if you fall and lose control of it? Not sure of the exact wording though

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,312 ✭✭✭munster87

For some reason it annoys me how bad Aidan O Shea is.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60 ✭✭quidel7

Very silly free to give away at the death for Clifford to win it. Daft.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,379 ✭✭✭Gael85

AOS got plenty of attention from Kerry forwards particularly in first half. A lot of late hits.
