Nice, got Drogba's Prime Icon from one of the Season/Rivals untradeable packs.

Worth 1.5ish.

I'd been contemplating replacing (91)Torres, his contributions are starting to fall off a touch(was one per game either G:A but that's less than 1:1 now).

The plan was to hold off until I got enough for a player well over a million and not some change just for the sake of it.

Ill upgrade Mbappe as well, I've a fair few cards as is, plus more packs to open then have WL rewards to come. May as well get the 1.4 million for him and use the POTM until I finish up.

Could get a top LB/LM/RM next to finish the cycle.

I quit 6 matches already today, every opponent drops everybody back to defend, except 1 or 2, and they just defend and long ball, i used to hold on to the ball and make them press but now i decided they dont want to play, then neither will i

I'm finding it grand. Still using the 4321 tactics Auzio posted months ago and it gets me to Div 1 and nearly into elite so pretty happy with it. The good news for fifa is that basically BF2042 has been a complete and utter disaster for EA which means Fifa is not competing for resources with it. They still probably dropped a ton of servers though knowing EA.

Wait are you one of those that's quits at 0-0 in WL that everyone complains about?

I'm only new to FUT but i don't see how anyone has the "right" to decide how others should play.

I'm also not sure what you find so strange/bad about people defending anyway, drop back on players if you are attacking too slow aka slow build up seems normal to me anyway.

If cant go down the middle, then work the triangles, if cant work the triangles work the wings, either way i normally create chances no matter the amount of defenders(of course i don't always take them or get blocked etc but that's due to my lack of ability to do the right thing)

At least for me I get more annoyed about those that keep trying to score from kickoff or sideline cutbacks merchants but I'm not going to quit at level if they score like that on me.

I do play 352 in game thats 523 defending and 325 attacking, so no doubt i come across some people that are slow attackers that think I'm all out defence because i try to manually defend with players so i dont lose shape/postion.

I forgot how difficult rivals is the first week of a new season. 😫 in division 2 earlier, played 5 drew 1 and lost 4. Will be a while before I see elite division again.

Yeah got 3 games done there fairly easily with a first owner silver championship team. Scored 2, rubber band and the GKs can’t take the ball off of your players.

Bought SIF Mbappe to play around with and he’s so much fun. So much so I’m seriously tempted to do the POTM but it would literally drain my club of coins and cards.

When I’ve no intent to go back to trading I’d essentially be saying that’s me done for the season in terms of squad building so I’m not sure if I should do it or not 😬

Shockingly, despite it being awful value (cause everyone is getting a useless OTW), THIS is what cleans out my TP for the first time in weeks....

I used his other promo card for a while as a super sub and really enjoyed him. For an 85 squad, looks like he'll fit right into that spot again. And if he manages to get a +2 or +3, he's going to be savage.

I must say for 70k gold neymar is still a boss, i have tried all sorts of cards (even Fut Dybala) i still prefer Ney and Mbappe.

The new gelsons card is rapid aswell.

Can anyone honesty think of one good reason to let people control their goalies?.

What kind of developer thought it was a good idea to put it in, and then not remove it.

It ruins corners(which is why people play it short) and makes the game really cheesy when you're playing someone and you have to train your mind to do the opposite of what you should be doing.

I know there is a disadvantage to it in that if the person delays the shot or goes to the "wrong" side they have an easier chance but it just makes the game even more unrealistic and it's a guaranteed save if the shot goes to the side where the keeper is.

I just don't see how from a sim POV you can think it was worth adding and then leaving in.

Probably the same fella who decided to have the AI defend the goal line when someone rushes the goalie like an idiot, you're rewarding people for doing things that wouldn't happen in a real game(more talking about the ones rushing the goalie from unrealistic situations and getting bailed out by the guy on the line than say a clear chance rush).

From a sim POV surely it makes way more sense to be able to move your goalkeeper than not...

The real issue is that keepers don't catch 100% of high balls in real life like they do in Fifa. In terms of 1 on 1s, keepers gamble on a side all the time...

Yea it's ridiculous, even if you go front post and the attacker jumps in front of the keeper the keeper will still catch the high ball 100% of the time.

They need to introduce some manual element to high balls. Maybe a timed button press for catching it.

Down for anyone else? PS4 updated this morning, I'm connected and can do transfer market SBC etc but won't connect to rivals or fut champions. Says checking network connection then a screen flashes up too quickly for me to see it and I return to main menu. Weird.

Keeper movement either stays or goes, but it doesn't get fixed, EA don't do that.

Quick subs were broken when they were introduced 5 years ago and they're still exactly as broken now as they were then.

Ten years ago you could make custom set-piece plays where each player would run a path you set out for them in the training ground, but it was too easy to exploit so instead of trying to balance it EA just removed the feature altogether and now ten years later we don't even have anything remotely as advanced as this:

Of course once they switched over to frostbite it all went downhill. It's been an absolute disaster of an engine for fifa

I packed mid Burtra and as a skiller myself I found him amazing in game 3 star skills didn't bother me (too much). His left stick dribbling and control of the ball is amazing.

Went for a look back at FIFA 13 last night, picked that as it was the last good one I remember. They switched the engine for 14.

The lack of progress since 2013 is startling. The game is BARELY any different, it's 90% similar but the other 10% in changes since then haven't exactly been steller.

Fair play to them for managing to milk a game for nearly 10 years with very little effort.

Probably won't change until a competitor re-emerges. How did we go from a market which had endless amounts of new IPs to one where there is basically nobody else?.. we're not talking about a sport like rugby which doesn't transition well to the sport.. surely some other studio should take a punt on it... The bar is set very low to pass EA at this point.

Find the gameplay better now again this time I've played for whatever reason. Was back down in division 5, had been on verge of 2. Did Rice as I just wanted to do an SBC. Slotted in nicely in my 3 man midfield and has scored some worldies. He's decent anyway. Enjoying using him.

Two campaign bags done - Headliners Trapp in the first - I’ve now had his base card, 2 TOTWs and now his HL

second one got Fantasy FUT Inaki Williams so hopefully he will get an upgrade or two.

Also opened the 83-90 x6 pack from FUT birthday - best was 87 Sancho.
