Either that is a misprint you are not as bright as your name implies

Ref gave cork several soft frees..the blanchfield dummy handpass one was a joke ..ref also failed to see/ignored cork players throwing the ball on many many occasions. Ref also did not count steps leading to cork goal

All in all I think the Ref was more a help than a hindrance to cork

I'm not at all saying that is what won ye the match but to imply he let kilkenny players away with things is plain wrong

Kilkenny got 2 soft goals and they still couldn't win. Nothing to do with the Ref, ye got more than enough chances to win.

Hoggie was poor. O'Leary clearly not fit enough and could have been taken off earlier. We have a lot to work on. But we also have a league final to look forward to. It's been a quite a while since we won it and we are well placed to have a cut off todays winner.

Looking forward to the Limerick game, you would have to presume that Limerick will get their act together with a month of hard training in the lead up. They will be under pressure to flick the switch back to the championship hurling of the last few years. We will have had 2 tough games and then 2 weeks of focus on Limerick.

Cork have a little more strength in depth now and have a very defined style of play that the entire squad seem to be able to play.

It really is nicely set up.

Apologies if my post was too long..you obviously didn't get to the last bit where I said I wasn't in any way saying the ref was the reason we lost.

This Cork team won't even get out of munster. Limerick, Waterford and Clare to get the top 3 spots.

Ye are sulking since the strike looking at the roll of honour.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17 ringy15

Sulk is a typical person who resents Cork! Should be treated with disdain! Any hurling supporter would have enjoyed yesterday’s game.. competitive, sporting and clean! Looking forward to this years all Ireland as I believe we have the tools to overpower Limerick and progress to Liam McCarthy!

What a moronic comment from an uneducated hurling supporter! Cork have been terrific in this year’s league, and are currently second to limerick as all Ireland prospects! Am encouraged by the new players… Connolly and Joyce… as well as the form of Fitzgibbon and Lehane! Bring good intensity into the Limerick game, strike form and we can beat Limerick

I don't resent Cork. Maybe if ye won something but hard to resent a team who haven't won a thing in nearly 20 years. Cork don't have a decent full back line up to scratch and look great when things are going well but when they are not going well the players hide. For that reason I can't see yereselves and tipp coming out of munster this year.

12 mins gone and its Cork 1-04 Offaly 0-2

Cork really motoring and on top so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Cork losing their way a bit and Offaly getting going.

    Offaly 0-05 Cork 1-07

    25 mins gone

Ah stop. First time a Cork team has tried match ye physically in years and ye think ref did us a favour.

Next you think you were robbed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Penalty for Offaly and black card for Flahive who hauled Mcnamee down. It was scored

Its now Offaly 1-07 Cork 1-09

A giveaway really. everything for Offalys attack revolves around McNamee. Stop him and we will win.

Cork just have gone to sleep and the lead has gone from 6 points to 2 in just a few minutes. Now in extra time first half

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

    Half time and its

    Offaly 1-07 Cork 1-10

Cork on top but going to sleep for a few minutes cost us a bigger lead

Steadying the ship, we go 4 clear

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Sherlock pushes the lead out to 6

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Lead only 3 again. We have to be tighter on Mcnamee. They really rely on him

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,883 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    Down to 2

Twice we have led by 6 points in this match and we have been hauled back twice. Once can happen but shouldn't be happening twice

Only a point in it now after us being on top for ages

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Draw now, We look very tired at the moment

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,194 ✭✭✭mossie

Trying to watch in Spain butTG4 app won't load

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Gave the ball away in midfield and Offaly point. They are ahead for the first time now

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

Offaly by two. Less than 10 mins left.

We need some scores quick but we look tired and out of ideas at the moment

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,883 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Down by 2. Could go anyway yet.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,542 ✭✭✭The White Feather

So many wrong options being taken. We can still win this though. Offaly by 1

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,883 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    Level now.

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,883 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

    CorK win by 1

We made hard work of that. Should have been well clear at the end but both Mcnamees for Offaly were very good and kept reeling us back in.

We looked tired and the subs made a difference at the end.

    Phew!
