Brian Hurley and Cian Kiely with great points in injury time.

Sherlock finishes the game with 9 points! He has scored 1-36 in last 5 games

Sulk is aptly named!Maybe you should focus on commenting on your own county!

  • Registered Users Posts: 17 ringy15

Well… we were very fortunate to beat Offaly. Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a turnaround, and next year will be playing the dubs and Kildare! Kerry up next.. hopefully A few back from injury! Kerry are definitely odds on to win all Ireland

Way it’s looking now is a cork vs Waterford league final . 2 Munster teams, and last rehearsal for the main event!

    Great weekend for The Rebels

Hopefully we’ll see a good Munster competition this year! Better still, Limerick not getting out of Munster. Have met some of the most obnoxious, boastful, clueless supporters from there, be good to see them banished to oblivion for 20 years!

I've always found the Limerick crowd to be decent enough. They've had many a long year in the wilderness, so I won't be too begrudging of their recent success.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17 ringy15

Not begrudging! I have often complimented their supporters on having a fine, successful team , but in general I have never encountered such arrogance. What goes around comes around, and success is fleeting! The Decies looked awesome today, strength in all departments. Austin Gleason sending off was only blemish on a superlative performance. Wexford will have to lift themselves off the floor!

And yet Kilkenny beat Waterford last week.

    Sets it up nicely.

Next week will be very tough. But in a National Final you should expect nothing less.

Waterford were very impressive. A great test for us

Waterford were impressive but Wexford were very poor.

Waterford won't have learnt a whole pile from their match while Cork have plenty to work on.

All the talk will be about how good Waterford were and Cork will go in as underdogs which will suit us fine.

Nice try but you're literally favourites with the bookies for it @ 10/11.

Can't believe Cork are favourites with Waterford being so brilliant today.

Must be cos Aussie will be suspended.

  • Registered Users Posts: 585 ✭✭✭Corcaigh84

Aussie is some dope, yet again. They'd have been favourites with him on the team based on their showing today.

I wouldn't begrudge Limerick their success in recent years at all. Limerick supporters have had to put up, with a lot of heartbreak and disappointment over the years. Really all counties have their share of pig ignorant muppets!

Only for Gleeson is a ridiculous talent I’d say Cahill would get rid of him.

He’s a liability but on the flip side he can beat a team on his own when on form.

It will be some battle down in Thurles!

Jimmythesulk has 36 posts (joined Dec 21), a large portion of them wumming on this forum, despite claiming to not be obsessed / bitter about Cork - you love to see it.

I welcome the success of Limerick but their supporters need to learn how to be magnanimous in victory. I have encountered the most obnoxious, arrogant Limerick supporters and I have been around hurling for years!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,530 ✭✭✭Asdfgh2020

Cork have their fair share of 'beauties' of this genre also..........as do most counties once they gain some success, modesty quickly goes out the window and you end up with arrogant twats who think they invented the game..

  • Registered Users Posts: 291 ✭✭jimmythesulk

I don't have a clue what a wum is. Anyway I don't rate this Cork team. Just look at last year, taking away all the hype. We'll beaten by Limerick in the Munster championship. Then in the knockouts a last gasp save got ye through versus a very average clare side and my own county kilkenny brought ye to extra time. At present we have our worst team in 20 years yet Cork only barely better than us. The final showed where ye really are. At present in Munster, Limerick and Waterford are a good bit ahead of the rest and then it will be a 3 horse race between 3 average teams. I'd have clare the best of the 3 but not much in it really. Cork do have some lovely hurlers on their day but not every day will be your day and when things don't go to plan this Cork team are poor as history has shown. Cahalane and the full back are not great and any decent team will target them. Coleman too loose at centre back. I think ye are so desperate for success ye can't see that. Unfortunately we are going the way of Cork and it maybe more than a decade before we see Liam back in the marble city also.

Amazing that there aren’t Cork supporters jumping around criticizing the Kilkenny team! Never would even cross my mind to criticize another county when they’re down. Still, it takes all types to make world go round!

  • Registered Users Posts: 17 ringy15

Absolutely true! All of a sudden they are experts on tactics, strategies and can’t take even constructive criticism!

looking like the football v Kerry will be moved to Killarney, absolute disgrace if it happens

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,883 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

Yeah, looks the Munster Council are badly in need of the money the extra 10-15k will bring.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,121 ✭✭✭zetecescort

i'd have serious doubts it would bring a much bigger crowd tbh. I know Cork fans traditionally like the trip to Killarney but can't see too many going after the league performances this year. should be a Newbridge or nowhere type situation really but I cant see our board putting up much of an argument.

According to @RTEgaa, Waterford won't be appealing Gleeson's red card following a review of video footage.
