All roh international talents american visa are about to expire as roh did not seek to renew any of them

I presume quite a few would have decent grounds for their own O1's anyway, with a publicly broadcast body of work to be able to point to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Bought my first ever ROH PPV.

    Looking forward to Supercard

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    Nope.

I bought it from the fite.tv website which is in dollars, so i've paid roughly 27 euro

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Thinking of buying that myself. I'd say it'll be good and I'm curious as to what the new era will be like.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,471 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Just out of interest, were ye planning on getting it before or did Tony Khan's purchase push you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

I was curious before. I've been buying a few PPVs on Fite recently, some of the GCW and Impact ones. I watch them when I get the chance. But yeah the AEW link makes it more interesting to me now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Yup the AEW link very much gets me interested

Looking forward to it, easily the most interesting card of the weekend.

Lethal/Moriarty and Swerve/Zayne should be sick, obviously Briscoes/FTR too.

I think Gresham unifies the titles and gets confronted by one of the originals after, Joe or Claudio maybe!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Really hope Joe shows up tonight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Bit the bullet and ordered Supercard of Honor. It's expensive at $30 but feck it. I'm not doing anything else anyway and they're teasing some big things.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Chavo with all his complaining about Tony Khan and AEW on social media looks like Tony took the higher ground and gave him a gig on this as Bandido's manager.

I hope the surprise (or surprises) is a free agent like Cesaro or Joe and not just someone from AEW showing up.

And really hope the **** WWE style camera work is one of the first things Khan changes about ROH. They were doing that stupid zoom in/zoom out thing on moves and shaky cam under the old regime.

    Should be an interesting show.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

I'd say you'll have both. Technically this is a potential spoiler but I don't think anyone will actually care..Brian Cage is there. Definitely expect some historic ROH names to show up on the night though. The roof would come off for Joe or Cesaro I reckon.

I'd say Cage will be Tully's new guy

Going to stay up for the 1st hour and watch the rest later

    Looking forward to it

Probably too late to tell you that you could have gotten it for signing up for Honor Club for 9.99 for the month :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Tully Blanchard Enterprises has it's tag team.

I saw the little honor club logo on Fite TV but there's no option to sign up for it like with AEW plus. I presume it's just through the ROH website?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    Some opener that was

    Swerve is just so good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,214 ✭✭✭✭B.A._Baracus

Tully Blanchard Enterprises has it's single star.

Good move for Cage to see him as a heel and actually has a good mouth piece in Tully with him now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

I wonder will Tully Blanchard Enterprises have Tessa has its female star.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Yeah if he's not going to be used in AEW he may as well get a run in ROH.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Here we go Lethal v Moriarty

    This should be gooooooooood

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Just have a big grin on my face, I do love story progression

FTR vs the Briscoes is one of the best matches I've ever seen. Jesus.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,800 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    Unreal

FTR are just so damn good, what a tag team

Weird main event. In the sense they did a lot of tech for a good portion. Then picked it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,214 ✭✭✭✭B.A._Baracus

    Joe Joe Joe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,875 ✭✭✭Pentecost

Very much enjoyed that. FTR v Briscoes was brilliant, hope they do a repeat down the line somewhere. Great to see Joe again, look forward to him in AEW. So many great options for him, Punk, Danielson, Adam Cole, Hangman, MJF, Jericho, hopefully Kenny at some point. The list goes on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,471 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

FTR vs Briscoes was a great match.

I watched the Impact event before I watched this and they spoiled both the Mercedes win and Briscoes losing. But I didn't hear the Briscoes spoiler as wasn't really listening to the commentary.

And when I realised there was a preshow where Tully introduced the first 2 members of his family, I got it on youtube, where, of course, there was a linked video at the side that I accidentally saw saying Joe was there. Samoa, not Hendry.

Title changes made it feel a bit like Tony getting his guys into position rather than RoH guys.

Blake Christian was busy. After Impact mentioned he had been busy I checked and he had Impact, RoH, GCW and NJPW matches yesterday.

    Very good show!

Tag match especially, I'm still very curious about what ROH is going forward though.

Since pretty much all the ROH guys lost I wonder if that's it for them in the company and will ROH just be AEW's other brand.

Still very excited to see what the future holds even if I'm not sure what it is 🤣

Have to say that was a terrific show

    Media Scrum

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,492 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Just finished it there , did it seem like a mass passing of the torch to anyone else

Only one that seems to be staying on is Gresham all the other guys lost , even the Briscoes which was an incredible match , would love to see more of them

  • Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 53,174 Mod ✭✭✭✭Necro

Isn't there supposed to be an issue with the Network that won't allow them to sign the Briscoes due to some old comments made? It's a shame as they definitely deserve a larger platform.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,492 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Yeah that's so stupid since they have apologized , and there are so many wrestlers that have done dodgy stuff why pick on them

Really hope when the new ROH is up and running properly that it's two different rosters (ROH and AEW) with not much crossover for the foreseeable future. Don't really want to see all the ROH titles being defended on Dynamite and Rampage regularly. There'll be way too many titles on AEW programming then.

AEW have so many under contract that they could easily fill out a very good roster exclusive to ROH.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,178 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Supercard of Honor did over 20k ppv buys.

Honor Club views are not counted in that that either.

So looks like it was a pretty huge success.

On the Double or Nothing media call Tony say he wants to bring ROH back with a there full PPV calendar of events and he is full talks with Warner/Discovery about getting a weekly or streamimg service soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,471 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I thought Lethal was going to interfere in Joe's match setting up a title match for Double or Nothing

Their last match was a belter, this should be no different. I know ROH and AEW are separate but I wonder if this could mean a softening of the no-Briscoes on AEW policy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,964 ✭✭✭Cherry_Cola

Yeah it's interesting. Talks that the Warner exec pushing that ban may have been ousted in the Discovery merger so could have something to do with it.
