Russia - threadbanned users in OP

It's absolutely unbelievable the levels of depravity the Russians are sinking to. What decade do they think we're living in? It's not the kind of thing that can be swept under the rug anymore. It's almost instantly frontpage news, once uncovered. Even if it's one platoon going mad, the Russian government must come out and condemn it. It would at least be something, but they probably won't because it would mean having to admit they were wrong.

The Americans committed similar atrocities in Vietnam by targeting civilians, but in that case it was roundly condemned domestically and abroad, and that whole stupid war protested against. Russia has a hell of a lot of catching up to do in terms of ethics. The West doesn't want that knuckle-dragging, merciless, strongman mentality that's undoubtedly fuelling these kinds of actions. It's that mentality that makes Russia a 2nd class power anyway, and a kip vs. what it could be.

I happened to one video and stopped it once I realised what was shown. If that’s confirmed then Jesus Christ that’s horrific in the 21st century.

We don't have to invade Russia, but we should now send in the troops and planes to Ukraine and obliterate Putin's forces. He wont have the excuse that we were threatening Russian territory, but if he resorts to nuclear strikes then it simply means he was always intending to use them. We shouldn't just sit around and wait and see any longer. Our lack of courage is simply emboldening him, and he's going to carry on mass killing civilians, and probably use chemical weapons next if his campaign stutters and stalls much further.

Do we stand by and watch these atrocities unfold for days more, weeks more, months more, or what...?

I don't understand the hesitance here. Russia isn't going to launch nukes for being driven out of Ukraine. I'll even go so far as to claim that they won't launch nukes if NATO troops on the ground were to drive them back to Russia and Belarus. The Russian military is only good for raping, looting and bombing civilians from afar. They don't have the effectiveness of a modern military (i didn't believe this a month ago). Ukraine showed that they're useless in conventional warfare and NATO should take full advantage of that.

A no fly zone should be on the cards now.

Each image coming out is more horrific than the last. God only knows what Mariupol is really like. Reports that all men between the ages of 16-60 were executed in Bucha.

Is it time to storm the russian embassy yet? Because I have some anger I want to direct somewhere.

Based on the photos from Bucha alone the whole mob should be kicked out of the country and the embassy building should be handed over to Ukrainian refugees.

But as I was saying earlier, the fact that the Russians made not the slightest effort to conceal these bodies strongly suggests they don't care about the bad PR...

Even as someone who has been defending the West and NATO's stance in terms of direct military intervention:

My immediate reaction to these images is to desire a mass military buildup on the borders of Russia/Belarus/Ukraine and to start serious preparation for military action against any and all Russian forces not inside Russian territorial waters or landmasses.

Apparently an abandoned post outside the capital - stereo speakers comfort but looks like these lads didn't loot the shops, nick the spirits, get hammered and make a mess of the position and get killed or run away.

I reckon these are from the Russian side Public Relations - no way they'd allow the non-approved take the photos this close. Mariupol apparently.
