I cant see the EU letting them in just yet, if they did, would that not mean the EU members will have to foot the bill to rebuild Ukraine?

    Such an idiot,

there are NATO airbases/allies across the mainland, some Irish people are so self centred that they think aircraft re-fuelling makes us important

Are you serious. Jeeps that would have been our only out. A Sure we can add it to the 240 plus billion we already owe. In for a penny in for a pound. Anyone in big debt just adds to it before going under.

My point exactly, earlier, if membership granted the EU will be bankrupted by ending up paying for the destruction.

Wait till this is over, EU will run a Mile from this mess .

😂 And what will Sinn Fein do? ... Let me answer that for you, absolutely nothing!! they are a party with only one voice, that prey on the underprivileged and go with the popular opinion, I'm surprised they can sit any longer with the splinters they must have in their arses

Edit: My comments above are a bit harsh, my apologies, each to their own

Very easy to be a socialist when your earning almost 100 k as a TD. And almost as much in unvouched expenses!

I actually think that was really good episode yesterday. Some nice stories from people about their pets, a few funny moments, a classic liveline topic of mislabelled animal ashes in and urn and a host who acted like a normal person when bereavements came up.

The guy I knew (. I was a youngster) also had a shop. Got it by selling shite door to door out of a suitcase.

Yea but at least we are getting a pat on the head, and the government are patting each other on the back.

What would we have done if they didn't look like us 🙄

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,978 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

Yes, it was an interview he did with Claire Byrne last week , I'm sure it's available on podcast, I was shocked , I thought the Generosity shown by our elected cohort was primarily because the EU would be at least footing part of the Bill, absolutely not by all accounts.

As I've said on a few occasions, a Train Wreck in slow motion about to happen 😏

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

Same principal as the publican who looks after the guy who drinks 3/4 pints every night.preferred every time over the guy who slobbers and throws around a wad of cash one night. Dem hotel owning political families are no daws.

Yea I heard that, I think he said something like. " Because we are one of the countries in the EU who are doing well, we get no funding 🤔😲 wtf.

We'll just have to find another money tree. This will financially cripple us 🙄

I am the same. I have no interest in listening to arm chair experts on Russia. Enough shite about it on the news already.

Sinn Fein will lead us to the money tree when they get into power

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,978 ✭✭✭✭Dempo1

The money Tree one thing but with endless crisis already to deal with, we're this will all end up is just beyond me. 🙄

`FG have buried the money tree in the money pit that the Childrens hospital.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,427 ✭✭✭golondrinas

I knew that other E.U. countries begrudged us our new found gains always whinging about our corporate tax etc., Telling Mehole etc how great we are ( all the while laughing up their sleeves at us ) while we flounder under the weight of an unfair proportion of refugees.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,684 ✭✭✭An Claidheamh

    Money Tree is already here

Massive pensions and salaries for TDs, judges, expenses, most expensive hospital in the world - not actually built - houses for 100,000 is it? ( for pats on the back), free money if you call yourself an artist,

FG/FF just prefer to waste it, squeeze workers for more and then tell people we do not have it

Then there are those airheads who whinge about government incompetence, yet swallow their anti-opposition nonsense, bootlickers some might say

That means no Wurdled Darts Grand Prix there in October I assume, there will be a lot of pissed off athletes and fans so to speak with that loss. I'd say it won't be staged at all in Ireland as a result.

  • I suspect it could be be fast-tracked IF the political will is there and the obstacles aren’t seen as presently insurmountable. Europe would find itself footing pretty much all the bill.

Ireland is diffident on the world stage. It is well known that they hid between hind the UK in Brussels before bexit. Eg Ireland kept its low tax rate because UK would not budge on giving away unanimity on tax.
