Sorry to hear that S 😔 that is beyond horrific, broke my heart reading that, I loved your posts about them in the wherer's thread, some people are just heartless bastards.

    Oh no, that's just awful

I remember your doggy died about a year ago too

I live on a straight road where cars speed down the hill so I know how vulnerable cats are to cars, lost a few here over the years, one in front of me and the child

    So sorry 🫂

Milka chocolate has gone to merry shite since it was taken over by Mondelez. It's totally over sweetened and inedible now.

Speaking of double barrelled names, I totally agree with those being irritating. It's a pain in the hoop trying to look up patient details on the lab database when said patient has a ridiculously over elaborate name. In some cases the names are quadruple barrelled!!

Oh...and lastly, for some reason I have that awful "That's what's real to me" song by Brian McFadden stuck in my head for the past few days despite the fact that I haven't heard it in almost 20 years :( How random is that???

I just filled out an application to adopt a kitten. I remember when our outdoor cat used to trust me to help carry her kittens home. Me with 1 in each hand ,by the scruff of the neck, her with 1 in her mouth.. Sorry about your cat Samsgirl.

Yesterday when I had SFA to do, I felt great, slept well last night but woke up this morning with an immense sense of jetlag and I got stuff to do, lots of stuff to do today and this week.

It’s as the result of a medical condition that I’ve spent the best part of half a decade trying to recover from is 90% fixed but sometimes it taps you on the shoulder with tonne weight fatigue like today… which is no fun really……

Aw thanks everyone. I'm so upset and angry still. He has such a cheeky personality. He was only 3 so plenty of mischief left in him.

    Misuse of the word "revert".

    Also less v fewer.

People who don't move up the conveyor belt with their shopping in Lidl so you can start unloading.

Lovely and sunny all day, til I went out to top up the coolant in my car, whereupon the heavens promptly opened. DROWNDED, so I am.

    Laughing so hard at 'drownded'

TA messages pertaining to work that are read yet unresponded to despite me doing this donkey work on my day off.

Company meeting today, so whole company in for first times in years, about sixty people. It seemed that 90% of people have gotten used to wireless headsets allowing them to roam around their house while on calls and most have continued it into the office. At one point today there was about 35 people roaming around the place, into other departments and annoying them, into meeting rooms, the canteen, everywhere. By all means stretch and be well and healthy but you don't have to go on a hike on every fecking call you make.

The revert misuse is hilarious. Why don't they just use reply or respond.

Agree re the Lidl conveyor belt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,815 ✭✭✭NewbridgeIR

That's awful, very sorry to read that.

Over the years, I have lost a number of cats to drivers like that. Accidents happen but not stopping is heartless.

Make tea this morning and took a sip, tasted funny so I check the milk and it was gone off. I make a new cup with another carton of milk and of course that's gone off as well

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,658 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Same thing happened me yesterday. Making my morning tea as we speak and I've just realised I forgot to get milk while I was in Lidl yesterday 😭

    I'm so sorry Samsgirl

People who don't move up the conveyor belt with their shopping in Lidl so you can start unloading.

Or people who don't put down their one or two items on the conveyor (while waiting for the person in front to pack and pay) so if you put your items down, they will whizz by him (it's usually a lad).

People that are almost never punctual, but not even consistently enough so you can plan around their always being late, so you're almost always left hanging and wasting your time. A text at least would be nice.

I changed search engine a few weeks ago as I couldn't stand the endless eye-catching war porn on my last homepage,

Something happened yesterday and I'm being hounded by product adds on here(they blink at the corner of my eye and freaks out my dyspraxia) went into setting and cant understand a word it says so I have to change back to the first one, hense subjecting myself to war porn until lunchtime every day.

Someone who was supposed to help me during the year but went mia when suited or ignored my messages when I needed help, just called to check I was ok and say they were there for me if I needed help now(8 freaking days ahead of my deadline) and almost 3oo€ poor, paying for grinds and supports.

    🤬🤬🤬🤬

.Very similarly, I asked a friend for help doing something to help out a neighbour. They said yes no problem, and then from the day before, no more contact. I had to do the majority myself and paid for help with the rest.

A week or two after it was all done, I got a phone call "alright, what you up to this weekend?" as if the agreement to help and the disappearing act never happened.

Even more annoying, people who are consistently late so that you CAN plan around them, but on the one rare occasion that they show up on time, they are seriously miffed to have been kept waiting for five or ten minutes. A reminder of the cumulative amount of time others have wasted waiting for them over the years ended the discussion.

Avocados. They take ages to ripen but when they do they go bad overnight.

Man with large SUV type of car plonking himself on the disabled parking slot at the vets to drop off one of his dogs, the other two are unsecured and walking around inside. There are three other non-disabled spots to choose from. What a d ickhead.

The first guy's gone, but here's another one - this one has parked straddling footpath and double yellow lines... blocking the access to the disabled spot.
