    Teams for Barca vs Napoli:

Barcelona XI: Ter Stegen; Mingueza, Pique, Garcia, Alba; de Jong, Nico Gonzalez, Pedri; Traore, Aubameyang, Torres.

Napoli Xi: Meret; Di Lorenzo, Koulibaly, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus; Ruiz, Anguissa; Elmas, Zielinski, Insigne; Osimhen.

Looking forward to this game. Still feels strange looking at that Barca front three.

Zielinski gives Napoli the lead moments after Torres should have scored.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Betis up 3-2 heading into half time, Canales and Fekir didn't travel. Mad game, dzuba is an absolute unit.

Dortmund getting hammered at home by Rangers. 3-0 down after 50 minutes. Haaland not in the squad.

Make that 3-1. Bellingham has pulled one back.

4-1 Rangers now. Looks like an O.G.

Torres equalises from the penalty spot for Barca after a handball.

Lovely strike from Guerreiro to get Dortmund a 2nd. About ten minutes to go.

Caught the second half of Lazio vs Porto. It was a good effort by Lazio but Porto saw it out. Luis Alberto went close a few times. Leipzig winning away 3-1 at Sociedad is a very good result.

Napoli/Barca and Dortmund/Rangers should be good games coming up.

Napoli 2-0 down to Barca after 12 minutes. Lovely strike from Frenkie de Jong for the second.

2-1. Insigne pulls one back from the spot after Ter Stegen fouls Osimhen. Rangers have scored from the spot as well and Dortmund now need 3 goals...

1-1 at Ibrox as Bellingham scores.

Malen makes it 2-1 Dortmund. Bellingham involved again. Dortmund need one more to level the tie.

Barca score just before half-time. Nice goal by Pique. Barca the better side atm.

2-2 at Ibrox. Tavernier scores a second. Dortmund back to needing 2 more.

Aubameyang scores a peach for Barca. Think that's Napoli done now. They need 3 to level it.

Barcelona have scored some beautiful goals tonight. 4-1 on the night now. 5-2 overall.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Looked like Rangers had gone 3-2 up but VAR has chalked it off for a Morelos foul. Dortmund have to go for it in the final 20 but Rangers looking dangerous on the break.

Rangers see it out and will be in the draw at 11am tomorrow. West Ham will be one of the seeded teams.

    Tought draw for West Ham

    Good draw for Rangers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,170 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Rangers got the easiest draw possible. And when you look at some of the other draws, they're tough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Some good ties. Sevilla vs West Ham will be interesting. Atalanta vs Leverkusen should provide a few goals. Porto/Lyon looks a tight game.

I don't like seeing Spartak Moscow still being allowed to compete in the competition with what's going on in Ukraine. We're told the CL final can't be held in Russia but yet Leipzig are still expected to go there and play football? Abhorrent to think of Russian fans cheering on a football game while their neighbours in Ukraine are being showered with missiles.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭Brewster

After beating Dortmund, they probably deserved a break. No easy ties though, Belgrade atmosphere will be crazy. Rangers will be looking to take a good lead over there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,085 ✭✭✭trashcan

Agree with this. If UEFA are going to take a stand then they should be all in, and be consistent.

I agree that Spartak should be thrown out of the competition but the match will not be taking place in Russia. It's to be scheduled for a neutral venue.

West Ham/Sevilla going to extra time. Eintracht/Betis is as well after a stoppage time goal from Betis. Lyon have knocked out Porto in the other game after a draw.

The Betis Frankfurt game is great viewing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Yarmolenko has scored to give West Ham the lead. Sevilla have 8 minutes to save themselves.

West Ham are through. Deserved win for them. Pleased for Yarmolenko.

Betis knocked out by Eintracht after an OG in the 120th minute. That's a painful way to lose it.

Confirmed quarter-finalists: Leipzig, Atalanta, West Ham, Lyon, Rangers, Barcelona, Braga, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Leipzig/Atalanta was good fun. Ended 1-1. Andre Silva earlier had a pen saved. Terrific goal by Muriel:

Looking forward to West Ham vs Lyon. Want to see Ndombele at his best. Aouar, Faivre and Paqueta have the quality to cause problems, and Dembele is in good form. Never know what to expect with Lyon, though. Fancy West Ham to get on the scoresheet. I'll say 2-1 West Ham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Cresswell given a straight red for denying Dembele a clear goalscoring opportunity. Fans don't like it but looks the correct call.

West Ham have been disappointing in the first half. Lyon have been the better side. Looks challenging for them with a man down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,328 ✭✭✭Did you smash it

West Ham down to 10. Cress well off deservedly for a foul denying a goal scoring opportunity.

the gowls at BT trying to make it into a highly controversial decision as is their want.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,442 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

If that was a foul then Bowen should have gotten a free 30 seconds earlier for a clearer foul.

That's a foul, but its not a red. The ref has been shite and has bought every single bit of Lyons cheating. Dembele is still on his feet and throws himself down too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,328 ✭✭✭Did you smash it

dembele would have got a shot off, that’s a goal scoring opportunity
