Lightning registering near New Ross

Activity off Ballycotton

Lightning flashes every minute or two in West Offaly, maybe south Longford. Viewable from north Kildare

Power check reporting a fault at 21.47 outside Birr. I'm in Roscommon and very rapid rumbles the last 20 minutes, lights are flickering a lot

Heading outside to see if I can see anything lighting up over offaly direction

Had 6 bright flashes and loud booms south of the town and as soon as I took the phone out to get some videos, it stopped. I'd be still waiting except we're getting hit with hailstones now lol. Cell must be right on top of me 😆

West Offaly. About half an hour ago the first flash was accompanied by a huge rumble of thunder instantaneously. The lights flicked off and on.

Within in seconds a torrential downpour came out of nowhere with hail.

In the next minute two more bright flashes with thunder, and the power got knocked out.

Over the following 10 minutes s few more flashes from further away.

Its a long time since i seen one like this here. Was in florida a few years back and had one like it that came with a tornado that touched down about 10km from me.

Southeast winds, orographic lift. South Dublin usually gets drenched in these kind of set ups.
