Were getting fibre with eir and are due to be connected , engineer is calling tomorrow suspposedly to hook us up, we are also signed up for a mobile package, two phones for 10 euro each a month, is possible to just go with the fibre part of the deal and cancel the mobile part ? so instead of 60 a month it would be 40.

It depends on whether or not you are committed to a 12/24 month contract for the mobile or is it 30-day sim only you signed up for?

If it's 30-day sim only, you could port the number to another network and they'd just charge you for up to 1 month

shouldn't be an issue but you'll likely have to pay for the first 30 days of the plan as its 30 day notice you have to give if you don't port the number to another provider

Well the engineer never showed, despite getting a text yesterday saying they'd be here between 9:30 and 5 and got the same in a email last thursday, is this a common thing for eir to do ? couldn't get through to support either so I cancel the mobile part of the package.

Just wondering also , we have broadband with Vodafone, will have that until were connected up with eir or how does it work ? Or will they just cut us off?
