"Ukraine has moved into a fundamentally new phase – the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to NATO

weapons The armed forces of Ukraine are beginning the transition to NATO weapons, which has not even been discussed recently.

"We have moved into a completely new phase, which even two months ago no one thought about. We have moved into a fundamentally new phase, which even no one dreamed of – the transfer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to NATO WEAPONS, to the NATO standard. And this is already happening," Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during an online inclusion on his Facebook page.

The Minister also said that President Vladimir Zelensky was able to convince Joe Biden that it was time to do it.

"And the howitzers came to us first, but this is only the beginning, much more will come to us. "This is a historic moment," Added Kuleba."

Whoa, wait, what? Historic seems almost an understatement.

But they are blocking munitions they sold to Germany and not recently , Germany is sending the weapons to another country , in this case Switzerland should stay in their hideaway and let Germany send their equipment to Ukraine

Ukraine has been slowly moving to Nato standard over the last 8 years ,it's why they selected a new rifle that could be easily changed from Russian 7.62 to Nato 556 ,

The biggest problem was they never had the funds to buy the newest kit available after the military being robbed blind by Russian leadership which was maintained through two peaceful uprisings.

But nato needs to look at Moldova and other countries who very well may need arming in a hurry

A very interesting element is that NATO now sense that Russia can be crippled militarily by Ukraine with NATO's help. The Russian accusations that NATO are fighting a "proxy war" may well be correct in fact (but the ****s and their leader only have themselves to blame....they brought it all on themselves).

Putin is nuts and evil so anything is possible . Might as well take him on now rather than he gradually kill a million Ukrainians, Moldovans , Poles

Its almost like bullies not liking the odds turning against them. Cry me a river!

I'd say Putin is throwing a full on tantrum in his throne room. Pity the poor apparatchik that has to deal with Putin tonight.

you are welcome to write to the Swiss parliament…. Each and every Swiss arms sale includes a clause that said arms will not be passed on to another country involved in an armed conflict. I don’t remotely see the Swiss changing their position on this. The Swiss will not arm the Ukrainians directly or indirectly. Not sure I would agree but I don’t see this changing.

It's like that story of the Huey chopper in 60's America's misadventure in Vietnam that went down in the jungle; pilot error, mechanical failure, another minor tragedy to add to the pile, but nothing too untoward. Anyway, after weeks of searching it was never found. Vanished and declared as such. So they asked various US Army quartermasters if they had any stuff on it, and they all duly replied in the affirmative... As one pilot joked: No wonder the fúcking thing crashed it must have weighed eighty tons*. 😁

That sorta thing, opportunities for young lads to go full Delboy Trotter happens in most militaries, or certainly tales from rellies of mine who were in the military backed that up. Sgt Bilko hit a nerve at the time because of all the lads who'd been in various services. But Russians take it to a whole new level. Did back in WW2 too. Another rellie who dealt with them at times in the immediate post war times told me that. There were always Allied lads grafting some scheme or other, minor smuggling and the like, but the Soviets would rob each other as well. He explained it away that the ones he dealt with were dirt poor from god knows where in the vast steppes and electric light came as a novelty for them. Though apparently their educated and urbane commisars were the worst for it, and they were still robbing Germans after the shooting stopped and trying to rob Allied guys too.

I'd reckon kinda similar is in play today in Ukraine and Russia. Dirt poor young men from the provinces vassal regions and their officer class robbing their own blind and given somewhat of a free reign from the autocrats who fear the army getting too powerful and decisive. Now they actually have to fight a war and that shít is coming home to roost.

*they actually weigh about two and can only get off the ground with about four all in.

Indeed. Go back to before this Russian invasion and Western media and Western government findings on Azov and other groups was the "concern" about the "rise of Far Right nationalists in Ukraine" with scary noises about them recruiting on facebook and other social media. The BBC who recently got all explanatory about how the stories are complex and the nazis are pretty much non-existent, bu yet the same BBC was previously creaming themselves over the Far Righ/Neo-nazi threat. As the BBC will about such things.

Not unlike putin going on about "nazis" as the reason for his criminal war and how he's out to stamp them out, but was strangely silent on the matter when there were way more of them, they had way more political power. However they were his "nazis" then. A Ukrainian Wagner Group. Just as nationalist, just as xenophobic, just as White power, just as homophobic, just as socially hard conservative as he is. But now they're set against him and his narrative suddenly changes. Funny that.

And because the same groups are now against Russia, as we are, our narrative suddenly changes too and rainbow flagged avatars on twitter are cheering them on. Funny that.

    Fúcking hilarious more like.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Russia making an accusation about something that's been done between the large powers of the world since the end of WW2 is... what, exactly? It's hardly revelatory, that's for sure. Less of an accusation and more of an explanation of why they're doing so poorly vs. their original objectives (and even current ones). Because lots of top class NATO weaponry is flooding into Ukraine to help the righteous side, and hopefully that will continue until the Russians are either driven out or will at least sit down to some proper negotiation.

In Sweden, a Russian teacher Eugenia Karlsson verbally attacked a ukrainian girl.

Is it me or are the Russian women even more wicked and cruel than the men. The oul ones are vicious bitter old crones spitting bile.

So Russias cutting off gas to Poland and Bulgaria for the reason that they won’t pay in roubles.

Does that imply that other EU counties are paying in roubles?

She sounds like one of the guests on Solovyov's nightly TV show, trotting out all the usual hateful clichés and bile about Ukrainian people. They should hire her.

The good ones get ratted on by the Orc offspring they are straining to educate and are fired. Natural selection in reverse. It won't be long 'till they are grooming each others fur of parasites, making ooh, ooh noises instead of speech and throwing sticks at each other.

Even one or two people in the Russian press were not happy about this and thought it was moving the country into '1984' territory - the idea of students grassing up their teacher and causing them to be arrested and perhaps even jailed for years is as totalitarian as you can get.

Hmmmn. If by "vicous xenophobia" you mean accusing people in other countries of being "dregs" for observations about queuing / road crossing and that somehow equates to "insulting" a country or indeed bizarrely equating that as being the same as accusing others of being "selfish b*stards who jump queues and are in Putin's pocket" then I think a nice holiday somewhere or at least a deep breath might just be a little helpful tbh

It's in the milder category though of Communist Russia and that is what Putin wants to recreate. So it will get worse.

Any predictions for the Kherson vote tomorrow? 85% in favour and 105% turnout I'm guessing.

112% of the population will vote for it including all of the Russian soldiers ,

Some of the bile directed at Ukrainians from ordinary Russians is unfathomable. Pure and utter hate. Can you imagine this is probably reflective of how Putin thinks of Ukrainians!??

You would swear it was mentally ill drunks saying the things they say. But it's not, it's people who have been so oddly conditioned to have these beliefs.

Aside from the appalling humans rights violations surely the younger Russians population see how insane the erosion of Russia as anything other than a pariah state as an outcome of this nonsense. Putin has managed to pidgeon hole Russia as North Korea
