I remember, back in 2002 or 2003, Ryan Tubridy and the sports presenter (I think it was Shane O'Donoghue) on the Full Irish on 2FM had a really funny double-act thing going on. Although I think it worked well because it was only for around 10 minutes every morning. Less is more.

To be fair to him, a big ego is one thing that he really doesn't suffer from - or at least has the decency to hide. Whatever about his presenting, he's actually a really nice person.
