    Taylor/Doherty none too inspiring

I've muted Taylor just left Doherty on

Of the 4 semi-finalists, John Higgins was the worst, by far. I was up for Trump against Williams. But thinking upon it, Williams was the best and he's out.

Williams had one bad session against Trump, and it's what ultimately cost him, being 7-1 down after the first session. He may have been still tired from the Yan match.

Trump limped over the line, whereas Williams was getting better and better. He made 16 centuries in the tournament, matching Hendry's record from 2003. And Williams didn't get to the final, mind you, Hendry didn't win either. I think Williams would have won had he made the final.

Trump's long potting was atrocious yesterday. He needs to up his game for the final. Trump has faced difficult opponents and had tough matches. O'Sullivan hasn't.

Agressive shots by Judd to start. This could turn into a real gunslinger final.

Majestic start by Trump. Ronnie in big trouble

Didn't say anything about not liking him. He's not the greatest player ever, in my opinion. O'Sullivan has played longer than Hendry, there's far more tournaments nowadays, so breaking records, like most centuries isn't surprising.

Some try to say Hendry had it easy. Really? Easier than O'Sullivan's route this year? Easier than his 2020 victory, which is the worst WC I can remember? There's something seriously wrong with the game when 3 45+ year olds made it to the semi-final this year. I'll put it like this, the class of 92, wouldn't beat themselves of 15 years ago(with maybe the exception of Williams).

Jaysus Doherty Taylor is like listening to paint dry they're brutal

I suppose they need hendry and davis in the studio for the serious discussion

Great start and break from Trump. Some excellent shots.

    He's 1-0 down in a race to 18. Trouble?

Let's not forget he went 3-0 down to Higgins.

Poor effort there from Trump, his long potting will be the undoing of him.

    Ronnie O'Sullivan:

No sound, doing his thing, box office viewing. Legend.

When he speaks and the other antics, biggest prick in the world.

    Pure enigma.

They both look bang on it.

Could be one for the ages.

    This is dynamite already

Funnily enough it Trump's long potting towards the end of the final frame yesterday ended up saving him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

That's a bit worrying from Trump's point of view, shouldn't have missed that black.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,735 ✭✭✭✭The Nal

Ronnie should just offer Trump the handshake now and save everyone the hassle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Ronnie shouldn't be calling Trump over and the ref knows it. It's the referee who makes the calls.

That looks right now, but Ronnie's being Ronnie.

    This is farcical.

Back at the same nonsense with the white

    It's ridiculous

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,957 ✭✭✭kirk.

    Technology needed

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,460 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

    Acting the prick today

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,191 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

The referee should stamp this out now. Don't call Trump over. It's nothing to do with him.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Swaine

This is really poor refereeing. Go look at the bloody monitor! Can't blame Ronnie here.

As Doherty said, needs to move towards Trump.

I think Ronnie was making a donkey of the ref for showing little interest in the cue ball position before he played the shot
