Somehow Independent took it upon itself to highlight a plight of nurses in Ireland. Day or so ago there was article how nurses are struggling so much they have to rely on food banks. Today another senior nurse complains how they would love to change car or go to a holiday but can not anymore. They even had to give up cup of coffee in the morning because it went to 2.70 and they cant afford it anymore.

Seriously, I have enough. This is beyond ridiculous.

Nah. No pitchforks. It is rather sad to see this out of touch entitlement rubbish spouted around. Do they really think people are that stupid? I mean if you are on that kind of salary and need to rely on food bank then you are doing something wrong.

Like getting cup of coffee for 2.70 in the morning for example.

3 mortgage rate hikes coming this year. There is a lot of fear out there. Myself included.

I dont blame anyone fighting their corner right now. What the banks along with the government have done to this country is criminal.

Why do we shrug off ministers pay hikes and their often numerous pensions and allow the like of Watt try spend 2 million a year on under the counter deals while said ministers keep their heads down, but if a nurse complains about her lot we roll our eyes?

No argument there regarding the fear however arguments used are strange. Replacing car or going for a holidays is not going to score you any solidarity with people who struggle to pay for rent, energies or food...
