Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Close between: Chocolate Hob-Nobs and Jersey Creams for me.

Love a few Fig Rolls on an odd day also and let's not forget Chocolate Goldgrain.

    Ah, I can't decide

Most underestimated biscuit is the Fruit Shortcake.

That little fecker doesn't promise much but yet every bite is a chewy, sweet, biscuity sensation.

Also holds it own when it comes to dunkability.

Has to be made by McVitie's though, but that goes without saying really.

The greatest biscuit of all time, It's a tough one. I'm enjoying a nice packet of jammie dodgers at the moment but to call them the GOAT would be stretching it i think.. I'll go with fig rolls for now.

So hungry people of AH what is the greatest biscuit of all time?

the jam in em jammy dodgers is ****in toxic man.. shortbreads not up to scratch either. sadly, probably the last biscuit I had. Went out with a whimper have to get my biscuit back on

i can't remember what the goat is its been that long. The best biscuits go soft too quick

Those Maryland cookies in a big bag,
    Viscounts,
    Jacobs Raspberry Creams,
    Chocolate covered Mikados,
    Toffeepops,
    The humble Fig roll,
    Hobnobs,
    Pink Wafers,
Club Milks (biscuits for the purpose of the thread),
Foxs make one with a thick layer of chocolate on it,

My favourites off the top of my head :pac: but I'll eat any :D (except those lemon puffs and oreos, wouldn't dirty my mouth with them :pac:)

Tunnocks Tea Cakes..they have a biscuit base so I am regarding them as a biscuit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 777 ✭✭✭H2UMrsRobinson

as previously mentioned the humble bourbon is my winner - any brand - I'm not a purist.

dunked in a scalding hot cuppa with four sugars for approx 2.4 seconds - oh my gosh that's a little slice of heaven right there !

I also like prising them apart and licking the cream out of them if tea is not available.

Jacobs Digestives are the clear winner for me.

    Bolands digestives are horrible.

The McVities Digestive creams are beautiful too. €1 in Tescos.

I don't eat any kind of biscuit so can't give a vote, but I do believe that the Mikado was voted "the gayest biscuit in Ireland" a number of years ago:confused:

I haven't bought biscuits in so long.. one isn't enough but yet I must finish them before they go off bad combo. Mikados must be eaten two at a time, I like those chocolate covered ones that are more chocolate than biscuit.

Liked Lidl Tower gate Dark Chocalate Digestives, however lately the taste seemed to have changed more sugar and less chocalate taste. I was actually searching for the older best before dates to get the better versions. However recently they appear to have gone completely only the Milk chocalate Digestives still on sale.

I think probably they were unable to get the manufacturer to make them at such a low price , pity they didn't just raise the price and keep the quality, the discounters like Lidl seem to be very hard nosed with suppliers regarding price. However I think they should make exceptions for high quality products like this

Probably a digestive. And not too sweet. Maybe McVities.

And have to be dunked in tea.

I amnt a biscuit fan, just wondering how long it took to locate a thead from 2012?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,428 ✭✭✭SuperBowserWorld

    😁 I responded to the 2022 post.

Is there a time limit on threads ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,681 ✭✭✭✭Deja Boo

Understandable SuperB :) I did too

I dunno, but wouldn't you say a decade is several pages back to go in search of one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,453 ✭✭✭sam t smith

    Jaffa Cake. 😜

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 766 ✭✭✭techman1

whats the point in starting new threads , just use the search function. If you are not interested in biscuits why did you respond to a thread about biscuits then ?

Its more a wider discussion about the discounters especially building up a brand loyalty to their own brand then changing the constituents and then inexplicably removing the product completely.
