Britain's former world welterweight champion Kell Brook has retired after a career that saw him record 40 wins from 43 professional fights.

The 36-year-old's final bout was a sixth-round victory against Amir Khan in February, which settled one of British boxing's longest-running feuds.

Good news, too brave for his own good. Got beaten up and injured badly in a couple of those fights he lost but a warrior all the way.

Always enjoyed watching Kell box. His style was unique, and very aesthetically pleasing. Silky smooth.

Took him until the Porter fight to show that he was world class. He just came up short at elite level against the bigger GGG, and the better Spence.

I always felt there was a vulnerability with him, and this kinda showed in his losses.

one thing I’ll always be grateful to him for: shutting that prat, Khan up!
