    It's always struck me as odd whoy certain landlords so against it , I think there's an impression only people on SW Get HAP and that is not entirely true.

    No, it goes directly to LL.

    For example, that 1950e the young husband/father was talking about earlier (which is Homeless HAP in Dublin NOT the rest of the country is 50% more than normal HAP) Council pay LL directly then charge the tenant a percntage of that figure per week according to their means.

    The tenant will also normally pay a top up to the LL in most cases as HAP/Homeless HAP doesn't cover actual going rent rate in many cases.

    The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

    The Entryism process: 1) Demand access; 2) Demand accommodation; 3) Demand a seat at the table; 4) Demand to run the table; 5) Demand to run the institution; 6) Run the institution to produce more activists and policy until they run it into the ground.

    Yeah the vision is in my mind, for better or for worse, of people in addiction or who couldn’t give a fück and will depreciate your house, fail to move out, and cause nonstop trouble if the place doesn’t go up in a blaze from lit cigarettes left carelessly around. I know this is a prejudice, but quite frankly I’m not going to risk my investment where I could avoid it.

    For my pension - piss off. This idea of speculating in the property market to pay your pension is the root of many problems. No stability.
