Immense performance from Carvajal. Courtois outstanding. Vini Jr steps up. Benzema with the greatest individual performance in CL history this campaign. Don Carlo cementing himself in history as one of the all-time great coaches. Beautiful.

Liverpool had much the better of the first half, and Courtois had to make a super save, but Liverpool were that bit flat in the second half, and that's enough for a team like Real to take advantage.

Liverpool will be disappointed that in the 30 minutes after the goal, the created very little, one Salah chance and superb Courtois save aside. It was actually Real who looked more likely to pick them off on the counter.

Carvajal was excellent, Vinicius Junior caused trouble all night. Alexander-Arnold was poor, Salah was quiet enough and Jota didn't add much when he came on.

Don't think they've dropped intensity so much assome players are not 100% fit and real are plying very deep and being allowed by the ref to use every trick in the book to waste time, foul and just really sort of drag it down.

Real barely created a thing in the match, but once they get ahead that's it.

Mane was the player to take off for Diaz. Keita on earlier would've lent some legs to midfield.

Courtois has to be man of the match which says a lot

I have no real complaints.

Big players turn up in these finals, and Madrid's ones were unreal.

Courtois proving he's with Alisson, Mendy, whoever as the best in the world. Criminally forgotten about at times.

Modric. As good as whoever you want to name in there. Ever. Xavi. Zidane. Whoever.

Benzema. Ridiculous.

Carvajal. Might be the best I've ever seen him.

And you can't deny them with the run they've had.

The season has to be regarded as a massive disappointment for Liverpool. Being hyped up for a quadruple and talked about as one of the great sides. Ending up fluking their way to two domestic cups on pens.

That’s got to be one of the most impressive Champions league wins when you see the teams Real Madrid have beat from start to finish !!!

And the crazy part is that Real Madrid side isn’t even close to some of the past Madrid sides with Ronaldo , Ramos, Bale etc all in their prime
