    What a try.

Munster were bullying Ulster a bit over the past 10 mins but they're incapable of scoring a try like that.

    Superb try.

Munster have themselves to blame there, should of been a try for us but stupid mistakes and Ulster took full advantage

Tbh I don't think De Allende and Farrell are a particularly good defensive midfield pairing. I've seen Leinster in particular manage to stand them up in defence off strike moves.

Another Murray pass gone to ground because the receiver isn't expecting it. Whatever they're doing in training clearly isn't working.

Baloucoune‘s speed and straightening of the line there was superb. 14 point swing thanks in a large part to him. Has to be starting for Ireland this summer

That’s not true tho. We’ve scored a lot of excellent tries like that this season.

A few minutes earlier I thought Earls looked very slow trying to chase Carberys chip through. I didn't expect to see Cooney beat him to the ball.

I missed the first 10 mins but he's had some very poor moments by his standards from what I've seen.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,316 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Murray is having a shocker.

    Murray having a shocker

Coombes and Baloucoune the stand outs so far for me. Would love to see both start at some point in NZ.

Actually difficult to watch how bad Murray has been

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,316 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    Don't think that's a try

Wow didn't think video was clear

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 10,735 Mod ✭✭✭✭aloooof

This is close. Think they need the angle they only showed once.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,015 ✭✭✭blackwhite

    That’s a shocking decision

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,167 ✭✭✭testtech05

For me definitely not clear cut enough to overturn the onfield decision. Thought they used the wrong angle to decide in the end.

Also surprised they didn't check the last pass from Hume it looked well forward to me.

Ulster playing some lovely stuff. Some nice handling in the backs

It's pretty infuriating given who is on the bench. Why is Murray on the pitch, what is he doing there?

Surprised that try was given, I think that's very lucky for Ulster.

There is a chasm between the teams in terms of passing and handling skills, and joined up thinking in attack.

Good refereeing from Peyper for the first Ulster try tbf; that's one way to sniff out shenanigans. Mind anyone thinking that has any bearing on the Irish squad is looking for a reaction.

Great read by Balacoune on Joey, thought Carbery could've held his feet and given himself more time.

Don't see Murray doing much wrong tbf - got snatched by an offside Henderson but the errors seem to be more our receivers struggling (whether it he due to hear or something) to catch the ball.

I find that strange that they overturn the on field decision.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,316 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Munsters heads have gone. Conceding penalty after penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,460 ✭✭✭Asus X540L

Wtf. He had absolutely no control over the ball there.

He knew himself he didn't score.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,081 ✭✭✭blackcard

I thought the frame showing the touchdown was too blurred to change the original decision, whatever that was

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,458 ✭✭✭kuang1

Especially based on the angle the TMO referenced.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,178 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

shocking state of video refereeing if they called that a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,316 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Game after game Carbery is doing more to play himself off the plane to New Zealand.

Is Casey on for HIA or was Murr subbed off?

Ulster looking good at half time.

    JOD is badly missed tonight

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 10,735 Mod ✭✭✭✭aloooof

He had a good spell around April but he’s been really, really poor for the last few games.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,336 ✭✭✭theVersatile

Presumably injury/HIA - stayed down after making the tackle following the missed touch.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭Brewster

Few errors obviously by both sides, more by Munster, but great entertainment and intensity in game.

Murray is very poor. Hasnt done one thing right, must want holidays before the NZ tour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,535 ✭✭✭crossman47

Terrible decision for the try. The side on camera clearly showed he lost it forward.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,037 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

I don't think Hume actually tapped the ball before the first try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,316 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Six Munster players entered that little scrap with Henderson and only two Ulster players stayed involved. Munster took themselves out of the game and made it simple for Ulster to score. That's such a cock up

The amount of mistakes by Munster today reminds me of 2 weeks ago against Leinster... Did we learn nothing in that match?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,336 ✭✭✭theVersatile

Frustrating half of rugby - Kleyn, Josh W and Coombes the Munster standouts - apart from that not a huge amount it positive.

Don't think there's a huge amount between the teams but Ulster way more accurate with their skill execution at critical times. Can't say Munster haven't had opportunities...

A few noted that Munsters coaching restructure isn't finalised yet after the Leamy announcement - maybe a skills coach should be on the cards.

40 minutes away from the disaster that is JVG’s end as Munster head coach. Thank ****

  • Registered Users Posts: 42 ladibai

Too much stand up the fight talk from the management

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,093 ✭✭✭Brewster

Was tight on the Moore try, he doesn’t need to be in control of the ball as we all know. Do his finger, ball and ground touch simultaneously? Just about in my view.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 10,735 Mod ✭✭✭✭aloooof

It’s frustrating; we’ve had the territory, 2 other entries into the 5m line with nothing to show for it. Very, very error strewn.

Then you’ve got the brain-fade for the Ulster try, and the on-field decision being overturned with, imo, not enough evidence.

It could be an awful lot closer.

Moores grounding was questionable but then so was Kleyns so not sure Munster can have any complaints. 9 and 10 absolutely killing them, though some of the running lines outside of them surely aren't helping. Vast contrast to the confidence Hume, Balacoune and McIlroy have with ball in hand

I know I'll be accused of "not being a real fan" etc, but there is part of me that just wants this 5 year sh1t show to end ASAP.

TG4: “Munster need to keep up the intensity”. What?
