Alba misses an absolute sitter. This Portugal keeper Costa doesn't look secure. Surprised he seems to be ahead of Sa and Lopes in the pecking order, unless they're out with injuries.

NI's opening game ends in a home defeat to Greece.

Superb footwork there. Benzema must be regretting the fact that the World Cup is not in the Summer this year. He’s on fire at the moment. Of course he could still be in November, but you never know. If it was happening this month he’d be a good bet for the golden boot.

It wasn't a penalty, in my opinion. But England don't really deserve anything from the game (not sure Hungary do either, to be honest). Fairly grim game.

Hungary with a stadium ban for racism were allowed by UEFA to let in 30k children aged 14 and under then those children boo'd the taking of the knee by the England players.

Good end to this France Croatia game. Croatia piling on the pressure, and France nearly snatched the win on the break with Griezmann - with a cooler head he'd have stopped the ball and brought it back inside to shoot, instead of shooting first time from a terrible angle.

strange match this in germany. they have had 2 disallowed goals but nothing aside from that. england nothing really.

I can watch it on Virgin Media 3 on Sky but the picture quality is awful. They've blocked it on C4 on Sky TV

and germany take the lead via hoffman. deserved lead.
