Ordering online wrong "3DS" no from bank?

Bit of long one I'm just looking for anyone's experience with this. I've been trying to order tix for my folks online. All is normal c/c details, name etc. All is good until the last step where it says they will text a "3DS" code to a nominated ph no. The issue is the no that was sent is 6 digits yet the 3DS no to be entered is a max of 3 no's. This happened before with a separate company and the person from the bank didn't know how to fix it. Again anybody had any experiences with this or how to resolve it? It's frustrating as the show is selling quick and they don't want to miss out on the seats.

If it's Ticketmaster you can pay by PayPal which removes that step.

I thought of that but try telling a pair of people in their mid 70's what PayPal is and they'll go to an early grave. Hard enough to get them to put their card details online cause they'll be "robbed"

Sometimes they ask for three numbers from your personal access number, then you put in the code they text you.

Doesn't seem to be that. Everything is fine until TM get PTSB to send a code via text. Code arrives but it's a 6 digit no. The code TM are looking for is a 3 digit code. The folks are gonna have to go into the bank and sort it out. Doesn't seem there's much I can do.

It's a bit confusing but I reckon Notmything is correct.

The payment confirmation requires you to enter 3 of the six digit personal access code first. Then it moves onto the next step where you enter the 6 digit phonetext code. I'm a PTSB customer and that's always the way it works.

You don't need a PayPal account to pay by PayPal. Simple select pay by PayPal and enter your card details on the Paypal system. No registration or anything extra required. Probably will need the code, but they use the 6 digit code

Anyway best of luck if you are trying to get through by phone to PTSB today. The phone doesn't even answer due to being inundated with calls due to some password issue.
