he seems to have all the attributes. there is no point in pretending I know a massive amount about him, but he seems to fit the profile of player we would be after, and bar his theatrics against us, he was very intelligent, and a cool finisher.

i'm not a fan of the price tag if it's as high as £75-85m. to be honest, I don't think we'll do it for more than £55m, with the potential for add-ons.

i also think the price is probably contingent on us getting a good fee for Mané. as in, if we get £40m guaranteed for Mané, we'll be able to go as high as £55m (or maybe slightly more) for Nunez.

What are Bayern doing, he's an absolute bargain for £40m.

Liverpool have rejected an improved offer of £23.5 million potentially rising to £30 million from Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane.

The Athletic understands that the second bid was swiftly rebuffed as Liverpool hold out for a guaranteed fee in excess of £40 million.

The new offer for Mane would only have reached £30 million if Bayern won the Champions League and the Senegal international clinched the Ballon d’Or in the next three seasons which Anfield officials regarded as laughable.

If the club can get £10m more than they paid for Mane after having him for 6 seasons in the prime of his career and winning everthing that is not bad going.

Munich add on's were if Mane wins multiple Champions League's and Ballon d'Or's then they would pay an extra €2.5m on top of the transfer fee of €30m

It’d have to be more of a 4-2-4 or the rarely seen 4-2-1-3 if we’re going to get the most out of Trent. I remember us playing a 4-2-3-1 a couple of seasons ago with Salah up top as a number 9. It worked pretty well and we looked solid defensively but it definitely hampered Trent a bit.

Having said that, if we can tweak the system to one where we’re less reliant on TAA while still allowing him enough freedom to work his magic, that could be the perfect balance. As others have pointed out, he’d relish the chance to send crosses into Nunez, but Jota making late runs from the left when he plays and Nunez drawing so much attention away from him would ramp up the danger levels even further.

His stats seem better than Mane, but obviously different league's so don't tell us much more than we already know, to be honest, I've only seen him when they played us....

I'd say its as good as done, there is usually a number of sources say we are interested in X player and then before you know it, its done.

Send him back to Fulham on loan and let him have regular games before the World Cup and see how he performs for Wales, I have a feeling he could be there standout player at the World Cup and that could add a lot of value to his transfer fee.
