    Mox vs Tanahashi for the interm title with Tanahashi winning setting up Punk vs. Tanahashi when Punk returns.

    Any word on how long Punk will be out? Don't think they would want the AEW champion signed to NJPW since he AEW appearances couldn't be guaranteed.

    So is the match against Mox on Wednesday as well or just the Battle Royal?

    Match against Mox is on Wednesday too which is why I see it hard for him losing. Not sure who'll be in the Battle Royal and who can win it and still give Moxley a good match (I'd be hoping Miro or Danielson, or maybe even Jungle Boy as it can play into the Christian angle and him winning the Battle Royal would be huge for him anyway).

    I'm assuming Punk will have to be back for All Out, otherwise that's way too long for someone to be interim champion.

    He was noticeably limping in the match with Dante, hopefully it's nothing serious, hoping for an ATT/bullet club showdown at forbidden door.

    The title match should be Mox/Tanahashi, the story is already there. It's unlikely but they could do worse than having the Ace win and defend in a few dream match scenarios before Punk returns. Danielson wouldn't shock me either.

    I see former AEW wrestler Jack Evans is now part of Ultimate X at Impact's Slammiversary. Also Kazarian is taking part in a 10 man tag match.

    He did say he needed surgery, so he'll more than likely be out of action for between 6-8 weeks.

    Is Danielson injured aswell? That sucks if him and Punk are injured for the Forbidden Door PPV. (God, that's a horrible name for a PPV, not as bad as Great Balls of Fire but it looks and sounds awful.)

    With those guys out injured, maybe we'll get the younger guys getting more of a shot. Yuta is already in a good position to make up for Danielson being out.

    Reports are that Bryan is out for two weeks. Wouldn’t be shocked if they just want to keep him fresh and get him back for the PPV.

    Buddy Matthews Vs Pac announced for tonight. Hope Matthews starts having more singles matches because he's great in ring.

    The battle royal is now a casino battle royal so everyone won't be starting in the ring at the same time which is a lot better. Not sure if there's a joker though.

    I can honestly see someone like Lance Archer winning the battle royal to go on to to lose to Moxley. Just can't see Khan giving away a big match at such short notice and he won't give it to one of the bigger stars that are going to lose anyway.

    Maybe the winner of the Battle Royal gets attacked before the main event and goes into it at a disadvantage. Protects them and gives Mox the title. Though I'm sure they'll do well enough anyway since have both Battle Royal and main event the same night.

    Surprised if they were going that route, they didn't just do the last 2 standing from the Battle Royal have a match later in the night. Didn't they do that before?

    I do think the whole concept of the winner facing Mox is a bit stupid. This is why at times I don't like the rankings system because they have to factor the rankings in. Should have just went all out tonight with like a 40 man battle royal, the winner becomes interim champion and give it to someone like Wardlow and see how he gets on. It's just bad timing as well though with forbidden door because they need a big name in there to face (presumably) Tanahashi.

    I would presume Wardlow is taking part in Casino Battle Royal

    For me it's the most interesting story of the Battle Royal. I'd be infavour of him winning and beating Mox

    I've seen it suggested elsewhere, but the story tonight is having an aew guy (hangman, Kingston, Darby) win the battle royal but pick up a knock along the way, they then lose to a fresh moxley, you get over moxleys vicious side while furthering MJF claiming ex WWE guys get special treatment and hangman claiming he's there to protect AEW from people like punk.

    Think something like that would be a mistake tbh. While Moxley is ex-wwe is been with AEW so long now that he's identified more with AEW at this stage. You could possibly do this with Danielson but you really need to do something like you suggested with one of the newer ex-wwe wrestlers like Adam Cole or Keith Lee. The ones who are really claiming the AEW originals spots.

    If they're going down the shades of grey route with MJF, Punk, Hangman and others, why not have moxley as the lad who's bled buckets for AEW but is still seen as an outsider by AEW lads? Even the idea of him smashing up an injured opponent, he's or of the few babyfaces that can get away with it, but it gives the likes of an MJF a target (while hypocritically having Shawn spears beside him)

    A new tournament and the All Atlantic belt have been announced (not Trios!) I reckon this is a belt they'll let "travel" to other promos, so probably a NJPW guy might win? Who knows.

    They really need to calm the hell down with the titles. The Owen Hart winners getting belts was weird, and now we are getting the Atlantic title too. With the ROH titles in play, Page saying he wants an IWGP title and the fabled trios titles coming soon, it feels like everyone has a belt, and that’s stupid. Especially belts that can’t be defended, like the Owens. Give them a trophy instead, to make it stand out as different.


    KOR was probably my least favourite pick to win tbh too. Don’t get me wrong, he’s an amazing wrestler, but I had zero tension during the Mox match, cause KOR isn’t and never will be that top guy. His wrestling is great, but his charisma is not there. Plus, I feel I’ve been watching the same Undisputed Era stuff for six years now. I’d have way rather someone like Hobbs or Stark in the main event. They’d have still lost, but I think would have gotten a lot more out of a match vs Mox than KOR would have.


    Swerve turning heel (based on his tweets, he’s flipped; he’s called Lee “dead weight”) is good IMO. He’s got an amazing character, and I think it works better as a heel than a face.

    ive actually not really seen much of him outside of clips, but I loved the United Empires debut. They had a proper aura off them. And I loved the elbow to the back of the head. Looked vicious.
