    the size of some of those US cars in that video! We think its bad here - dude who hit the cyclist is a businessman going to work, so obviously he needs a 3 tonne SUV. I'm starting to see some of those US style trucks here, a bad development IMO - the increasing size of motor vehicles is as much a problem as the increasing number of them.

    I'm fairly sure I did. Cars are badly designed, drivers behave badly, so the State is supposed to spend huge money to compensate. Is that it?

    I never mentioned the state so I guess no you don't

    Don't assume a driver will see something in front of them, simply because YOU think they should see it.

    Like you are with the US video.

    The video you posted did mention the State cost of rebuilding the crossroads to accommodate badly designed cars.

    I fully agree with you about not assuming a driver will see you, in any circumstances. That doesn't let the industry off the hook for badly designed cars, like the US video I posted.

    Fair enough. As this is the cycling forum, I was more thinking from the cycling perspective.
