Liveline: Thread with no name, Host with no shame

I used to work for a company supplying steel to pearces and other companies, I remember before the crash,steel prices rose massively but we were tied into prices for jobs so couldn't raise prices on certain jobs, add to the fact of credit and some companies not bothering to pay,

We went from working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, to 3day week to shut down,

A lot of companies went tits up but some took the piss out of small companies like ours and offered less than 10% on what we were owed and opened up soon afterwards with a different name, the ordinary working man will always get shafted

Before we get stuck into Joe talking rubbish… this is my local petrol station today 😡

Edit: On a side note, i have a discount card which offers 6c off every litre, but even at that, that price is shocking

O, I saw first hand had the working Man and Women got shafted, I saw the same carry on in the hospitality sector, suppliers not being paid, staff not being paid, absolutely disgraceful.

Some senior jobs I had involved working for receivers, going into hotels built by developers, ran into the ground and invariably the first mess I had to clean up was outstanding wages for staff left high and dry, Saved a few jobs, got people some of their money back but some establishments had to be shut permanently. Suppliers left high and dry but managed to help them a little too.

The Irony of course is some of the Rouges I encountered are still in business to this very day, still owing millions of Euros.

My local is. 2.19 😡 it's shocking but more shocking is that no one is ringing in to liveline about the cost of living, The average age of the liveline listeners has to be 60+. But according to Joe and his caller driven show all anyone is vexed about is Trans rights 😡🤔

But then champagne socialist millionaire Joe Duffy saying he feels the pain of the ordinary working man/woman/person, seeing petrol prices raised by over 10cent overnight would be hilarious
