If you had a rule similar to substitution where a defined time was added on as well as normal injury time it might change. However many incidents the team ahead had in the second half ( 60 sec/ incident) at the end of normal and injury time were added on. So if 4 incidents four minutes added.

The referees need to grow a pair and wave on play if it's not an obvious injury. Like cillian o Connor clearly didn't get injured when he went down.

And no breaks in play for non head injuries.

Half the problem is the managers they all want to be cuter than the other

But then you get a situation like you had in the SF last year where Eoin McLaughlin gets absolutely pummeled but the ref thinks it's not a head injury, or that serious and the offending team nearly score a goal from the same passage of play that decked the player.

Monaghan no 7 went down holding his face last week and not a word about it. Mayo player and let’s hang him. I’m not condoning it and cheating like that needs to be called out if it’s Mayo or any other team but you need to be consistent and call out all teams…not just the ones you hate.

Cork poor enough here so far Limerick seem to have gotten over the trimming from Kerry anyway.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,659 ✭✭✭MacDanger

Either of these two will be eaten in a QF

Blatant dive by Hurley and actually hurt himself in the process. And the ref fell for it.

The commentary from the Gooch is unbelievable. So biased. He seems disgusted Limerick are actually here.

I really hope the winner of this doesn't get Dublin it'll be ugly.

Powter is such a nice player to watch. Good goal chance for Cork gone a begging.

Clear push in the back by Hurley on Limerick full back and Cork get a point from it.

Great goal, Cork go 5 up. Very calm finish.

That black card - very soft - has made a big differencr.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,646 ✭✭✭washman3

That must be the softest black card so far this year...

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭snowgal

Yea looks like Limerick are done for. Spirit gone since soft black. They need a score or 2

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,233 ✭✭✭threeball

No one said it was purely Mayo and everyone so far wants the rule applied across the board. However, two mayo players feigned injury within 2mins of one another yesterday so it was particularly noteworthy. Especially seen as one has form for it quite regularly.

Like that one! Poor enough quality game. Agree re quarter finals, they’d be destroyed you fear

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,646 ✭✭✭washman3

Another dive, this time from Sherlock and the ref buys it again.

That goal might lift the Limerick lads.

12 years since they scored a goal against Cork apparently.

Badly needed goal for Limerick. They sh@t themselves after the black card.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭snowgal

    Not over yet!

    Idiot, what was he at!

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 32,976 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

That was absolutely stupid. Got a yellow and then another one, Walsh sees red. Ridiculous.

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,581 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Looked like a soft second yellow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭snowgal

Two them at it, but seriously in front of the ref

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,293 ✭✭✭munster87

This is going to be close now!

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,559 ✭✭✭✭siblers

The Limerick fella should have been booked too. Both at it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭snowgal

    Ah limerick…..

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,581 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Surely a black here with the penalty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,559 ✭✭✭✭siblers

Why isn't there a black card

Blatant penalty. Great runninf by the 14 men to be fair.

That goal should give Cork enough to get over the line.

A very fine finish by Hurley.
