Wheelie Bins or rubbish service in Rural areas

We're going to be moving to a fairly rural house in Leitrim early next year. I've been looking and calling places, but can't seem to find anyone who does a bin service there. As far as I can tell, even dumps in the area won't accept household waste, only recycling.

How on earth do we get rid of household rubbish? Is it just the done thing to burn it?

Try Barna Waste...they've office in sligo and cover Sligo Leitrim Roscommon galway and maybe more

Thanks. I gave them a try and they won't collect either. We'd have to buy wheelie bins from them, and trailer them to the nearest village a few Km away (we don't have a trailer).

Fortunately, we don't produce a load of waste. For now we're just bringing a bag to the parents gaff about an hour away once every few weeks.

You could try bigbin.ie , pay as you go type service, which I find very good. They have one in Sligo and in Roscommon, more opening all the time.

Muleadys in Drumlish or Barna in Drumshanbo accept household waste. Great service.
