Best pay-as-you-go deal for a week in Ireland?

I'm heading back in 2 weeks for a wee visit to the home land. What's the best/cheapest SIM card and a birra credit deal I can get to do me the week. Some data would be useful for maps and app messages.

Vodafone sims are definitely free online- not sure about if you go instore. If you're heading home to family you could get it sent there if you just want to avoid having to go to a store. Three you're forced to buy credit with it and Eir the same.

What planet are you returning from? The roaming deals are cheaper than getting a new number.

If you need to tether don't use Vodafone as they will charge for it, otherwise probably best network for coverage.

So I ended up getting a Vodafone 20 Euro deal. Was the biz. Worked great in Dublin and most of where I was in France. Paris and Sete. The 20 worked for the whole 3 weeks, no top ups. Would recommend.

I find that the most convenient solution in that situation is to pop into Tesco, and get a new SIM for €15 - 500 minutes (landline or mobile), 500 texts, and 15GB of data for a month (and the data should roam in the EU, too). Even better when it was only €10, but it's still the most convenient solution when travelling to Ireland as Tesco have more shops and more convenient hours than any other mobile provider.
