    Yep.

Fun Haim fact: Danielle Haim (lead singer) was lead guitarist for Julian Casablanca during his first solo tour.

Leon Bridges voice is like honey. Just so, so smooth.

Avalanches setting the crowd on a euphoric course. Mark E Smith would not have approved.

Just watched IDLES set again - superb!

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

I definitely prefer Noel to Liam but saying that they are both gobshites

Cheeky little dink from Caribou. Love Odessa, didn’t realise they played as a band though!

NG and the high flying birds setting us up nicely for Sir Paul McMoptop.

Even if the sound was screwed on Beautiful World

Poor Noel can’t write a decent hook anymore.

Cripes. Noel Gallagher songwriting has gone to pot, hasn’t it ? I mean, I was never a huge fan, but I thought he was ok. His new stuff just seems to be just a groove, with one line, repeated ad nauseum.

And having written that, he seems to be playing a “proper” song now. ☺️

Watching Burna Boy instead of our kid. Aside from bits of vocal auto tune it's a great set. I do love African music as do taxi drivers in Lagos.

Totally Pete. Noel is way up his own hole and with Liam I'm not sure how much of his gobshite teenage man is an act or if he is actually that big of a gobshite. Either way he's a flute.

Is Noel singing that he’s “ been to the dentist” ? 😀😀

Noel's poor recent material killing his set.

If he mixed more Oasis into that earlier set material it would be epic.

If I had a gun, everybody's on the run, dream on, heat of the moment all gone now. And no master plan...

I like the way he doesn't have to rely on Oasis mega hits too quickly compared to Liam. In fairness to him, he's more of a music craftsman compared to Liam and he went off and experimented unlike Liam who's relying on the past and nostalgia to propel him.

I'd take Noel's solo stuff over latter-day Oasis or any of Liam's post-Oasis music; at least he's evolved his sound slightly. Anyway, he's doing the hits now.

BBC doing their hootenanny delay for McCartney :(

    So Mitski for now.

I’d take sitting on shards of broken glass covered in dog turd over the Gallagher Dregs.

Wonderwall performance is a lot more restrained that I imagine how Liam treats it.

I have respect for Noel for the tunes he wrote in the 90s but I’m not sure what he offers anymore. Liam has more energy and stage presence.

One of my favourite McCartney performances to watch back, in 2009 even he was a good age then but they brought the place to a standstill.

    Frank Skinner on drums?

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,838 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

27 years and Oasis songs are still shite

  • Registered Users Posts: 72,535 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

“I don’t want to trade on past glories.”

Says the guy who just peppered his set with Oasis songs.

I'll have to record McCartney, will be interesting to see if it's any good, thought he was phenomenal on the Disney documentary.

Liam in fairness sang the best of the Oasis songs with an attitude Noel couldn't replicate, Acquiesce, Columbia, Live Forever, Rock n Roll star.

Noel was probably sorry the lyrics for those were written with Liam in mind but it made them what they were.

First 25 mins of Noel Gallagher are cracking tunes from the last 5 years.
