48" / 50" New TV

I'll start off with the AV amp. First up you could perhaps add in a centre speaker as this speaker is pretty important as it produces most of the vocals from a 5.1 soundtrack.

There is a great deal on the Fyne Audio F300LCR priced at £99.95

You must be running in multi channel stereo at the moment which will not give any form of surround sound unfortunately or if you are running 5.1 you will be missing a whole channel of audio from the centre speaker.

For Atoms you would then need to add in a further extra to speakers for a 5.1.2 setup.

For Atmos speakers there are the like of the Elac A4 MK2 priced at £199

Starting point at the minute for an Atmos enabled amp would be the Sony STRDH790 priced at £449

Next up would be the Denon AVRX2700 coming in at £599

If you wanted just a straight up 5.1 amp as an upgrade there is the Yamaha HTR2071 priced at £279

On to the TV. The Samsung QLED are some of the best TV on the market without going into OLED. The 50QN94 is one of the best 50" TV's.

We sell tonnes of QLED's are have very very very little complaints if any about image quality or reflections to be honest. I'm not aware of any sound problems with the QLED TV's if connected devices are powered off.

If you could fit a 55" then I would be going for an OLED like the Philips 55OLED806 priced at 979 Euro. Its a total bargain and a 5 star reviewed television. I have 2 OLED TV's at home the the picture quality is out of this world.

Or down to the 48OLED806 coming in at 879 Euro

However if you have a very bright room and are worried about reflections on a QLED then the OLED might not be the TV for you, as it can suffer from reflections in very bright conditions (Just like the old Plasma TV used to).

You could perhaps have a check at the Sony XR50X90Ju priced at 929 Euro
