There isn't a team in Gaelic Football that isn't cynical at some point.

The anti Dublin stuff on here is unreal.

James McCarthy, Ciaran Kilkenny, Mick Fitzsimmons are all proper men of character.

Seanie O'Shea great winner. He should have been black carded early in the second half dragging down a Dublin back. Ref was very biased against Dublin, which is unusual.

You have posters on here from Laois, Sligo and counties that find it hard to produce any men with balls belittling a great team of men.

football wins again today like it did yesterday after Dublin’s mostly ponderous build up play. Kerry were far more exciting to watch going forward.

dublin have nowhere near the player of a David Clifford X factor.

sean o’se was immense and has big cahones.

They can whistle all they want now at their Bohs and Shamrock rovers games.

sean o’se got his retribution with the final kick, some absolute idiots on here calling for him to get a red. Turn it over to the tennis

dublin now prepare for next years championship in division 2.

Kerry were better today overall. That’s why.

It was into the 6th minute when the free was taken, if that was down the other end of the pitch, he would have blown final whistle long before the free..

Kerry better team on balance of over-all play, but I think Galway should take heart from that game. Kerry looked to be getting white line fever in that second half.

Would have loved extra time. But ,well done Kerry.

Lay off the kool aid buddy. There is nothing dangerous about trying to, and actually kicking the ball before a keeper has it collected.

The follow through is just what can happen. Nothing intentional.

Someone got out of bed on the wrong side today...

Hard luck to Dublin but a great win for Kerry. I have relatives from Galway, so i obviously hope they beat Kerry in the final!

This is the first Galway v Kerry all Ireland final since 2000. Kerry were the better team in the replay, but Galway should have sealed the deal in the drawn game.

Galway will be underdogs for this, but that will suit them just fine imo.

Are you still banging on about that? Kerry won fair and square

    Great kick tbf.

Two of the softest frees you’ve seen given in stoppage time. SOS lucky to be on the pitch too.

Better team won. Kerry shouldn’t have been In the position where a bounce of the ball won the game.

Agree. Hasn't a patch on the class and ability of his predecessor.

Anyone know why the ref brought the bal forward at the mark ?

Sean Ó Sé with a flawless game start to finish, fitting he should put the winner over.

Thoughts and prayers for Comerford, hoping he makes a full recovery.

Jim Gavin sure is a hard act to follow, so i'd have some sympathy for Dessie Farrell there. Still though the Dubs were unlucky today, and i doubt that they're a finished team by any means really. They'll be there or thereabouts again in 2023 imo.

A victory for football and fair play.

50/50 for the final, but kerry will be heavy favourites no doubt. Galway have nothing to fear based on that. Kerry's forwards went missing in the second half.

Hot favourites, but Galway won't fear Kerry. You might not think it based on the rubbish served up yesterday, but Galway normally play an attractive brand of football - as do Kerry. Hoping for a high scoring game with plenty of long balls into the angles.

I just read through the thread, shocking stuff in it.

People really lose their minds and say awful stuff.

I hope Galway win it, it'll be very hard for that to happen but with Shane Walsh.you always have hope.

They've played each other in finals five times I think and it's 3-2 to Kerry.

    Good contest

An ordinary Dublin side, almost dragged into an AI final by the likes of Mccarthy, Kilkenny who just refused to lose, absolutely immense. Great strike from O'Shea after a poor second half from him, he seemed to be knocked back by the penalty miss, but great strike when it was required. The Clifford brothers were brilliant, Paudie was brilliant carrying the ball forward throughout the second half, really showed up.

Keeper fakes injury to run down black card clock and get in penalty taker’s head, saves penalty but loses game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,461 ✭✭✭Bob Harris

A lot of soft frees and yellow cards, Kerry penalty was a poor decision. The foul for the free at the end was very soft too, just a tussle for the ball.

Missed a few frees too like the Kerry full back getting clobbered in mid air near the end.

Dublin have some fine footballers and characters on the pitch and a monumental effort to bring it back to a draw. Evan Comerford let himself down repeatedly.

Kerry really should have had it won long before the 76th minute but testament to the Dubs for giving themselves a chance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,526 ✭✭✭Ginger83

Dublin weren't up to it today but the difference in the end was a player who should not have been on the pitch.

It would be great to see Galway win Sam.

I would fancy the greater experience and improved Kerry defence to get them over the line.

Maybe there or thereabouts but probably not threatening winning bar everyone else being weak. Nothing coming through quick. Lucky that we even got close today; Kerry at 5 points up should have managed the game better and comfortably won by 60 mins.

First off its Guinness. Secondly you are not my buddy.

Thirdly and most importantly dangerous play is well defined. Intention does not come into it.

Another genius who clearly hasn't played the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 322 ✭✭Fiyatoe

Difference in the end was that Kerry was the better team overall from start to finish. End of debate . Not any refereeing decisions
