ID4 Replacement Rear Tyres (20 inch)

What are people putting on to the replace the OEM tyres 20inch ID4. In this case originals are Pirelli Scorpion.

Anyone gone for the all season, Pirelli Scorpion Zero? Might make sense for a RWD car now that all seasons nearly as goods as our summer tyres in summer and better than them in winter when they are more on the limit ?

Anyone tried Conti PremiumContact 6?

Will be getting a premium brand tyre anyway but is there any premium brand should avoid ?

I find bridgestones wear very quickly, Continentals seem to last well longer, Michelins are somewhere in between.

Granted I don't have the id4,yet, but thats my experience of premium brands.

Are premium contact 6 for EV's? I understood special tyres were needed in ev like Michelen pilot EV sport (additional re-enforcement due to weight)

Just curious really as I'll be changing too in a few months and there is a massive difference in price.

The load rating and speed rating is what you need to look out for from strict a requirements point of view. After that for an EV you might prefer to be looking for efficiency and quietness.

How many km's did you get out the OEM tyres? We're at 96k on the original Nexan SU1's, but we do mainly motorway driving. No issues with those tyres, but they don't have the best ratings for grip, etc.

40k on the ID4 Pirelli , 96k on a set of tyres is impressive but anything with rubber that hard must be a trade off in grip, particularly on cold wet roads

The Nexan's are C rated for pretty much everything. Nothing other than ordinary. Look, they were fine, but lost traction under hard acceleration. Braking - never had an issue.

But if anybody needs a recommendation on a boring set which you can get 100k out of - Nexan SU1's.

i got over 70k km on a set of Michelin cross climate plus tyres on an octavia.. again motor way / dublin driving mostly.. not sure if they make sizes for id4
