Power meters in hand luggage?

    Going on a holidays to the canaries and renting a bike for a few days.

    I plan to bring my Assiomo Power meter pedals with me, what's the best way to transport them. Is it hand luggage don't want to risk having them in the hold luggage in case they loose the cases in Dublin airport.

    What's the preferred option?

    They have a battery in them so AFAIK not allowed in checked luggage anyway. Hand luggage your only option.

    What's the problem with batteries?


    Phones have batteries too. I've never had problems with my big power bank.

    Lithium batteries can spontaneously ignite if damaged. You never had problems with your big power bank doesn’t mean your big power bank will never cause problems.

    I guess he means, why is the power bank not also restricted in that case?

    It is. They are not allowed in checked-in baggage

    They are allowed in hand luggage.
