    Government source here:

    https://assets.gov.ie/231271/d46fb241-9fa1-40b6-b010-dd8bdd0577cb.pdf

Of which 41k were Irish. Dont want this thread to be about pros and cons of multiculturalism, there is another thread for that.

I'm interested in what looks like, to me, a severe lack if planning for these kind of numbers.

Rental vacancies are at a low

Not seeing any political debates on how best to deal with this influx.

Should we be building a new city somewhere ? How many more schools and hospitals will be needed etc.

Some of the top source nationalities:

PPS NUMBERS ISSUED SO FAR IN 2022 to end of July this year.

    UKRAINE 46,436

    IRELAND 41,531

    BRAZIL 10,600

    ROMANIA 9,818

    INDIA 9,791

    UK 7,685

    SPAIN 5,021

    ITALY 4,098

    POLAND 3,280

    FRANCE 2,945

    PORTUGAL 2,679

    USA 2,018

    BULGARIA 1,996

    TURKEY 1,957

    MEXICO 1,528

    GERMANY 1,511

    NIGERIA 1,445

    SOUTH AFRICA 1,408

    CHINA 1,361

    CHILE 1,305

    CROATIA 1,193

    PAKISTAN 1,132

    GEORGIA 1,109

    PHILIPPINES 1,104

    SOMALIA 1,101

Anyway of predicting based on the list

How many are likely to be temporary (Ukraine?) Are non EU more or less likely to stay long term etc etc.

Just seems like a total lack of planning and foresight. Or is there even a problem at all...
