Paul E Dangerously the last man standing.

By all accounts he also has Nick Khan’s ear will Mr Heyman orchestrate a coup and oust the rest of the McMahons.

So HBO Sports are supposed to have a damming story on Vince.

HBO Sports is owned by Discovery/Warner who are TV home of AEW.

So Tony Khan is behind bringing down Vince 😂

Honestly, the biggest changes they should do is give us great TV matches every once in a while and unscripted promos.

I find it easy to be a lapsed WWE fan because there is no buzz around it on a weekly basis compared to AEW.

If they did have great TV matches and unscripted promos, I have more of a reason to turn in Raw and SD every week.

Looking at AEW’s ratings though it’s proven that just having good tv matches isn’t enough to draw in an audience.

WWE need to sort out the poor storylines and contradicting policies that Vince throws out at a whim.

WWE don't need to start putting on great TV matches, you are asking them to follow the lead of a competitor whom they are blowing out of the water in terms of revenue.

With Vince stepping down (even though he won't), it will be a further incentive to push the brand rather than appealing to the minority wrestling fans wishes.

They have their TV deal regardless of the crap thats being churned out unfortunately, and they will save the occasional great matches for the PPVs.

Yeah sure their market cap is over $5bn with Vince's personal wealth around $2.5bn. Interesting if it is sold what it would go for. It would be alot more than the $4bn UFC was bought for, that's for sure.

Taking WCW as an example, media conglomerates don't really know how to run wrestling promotions and I think anyone buying WWE for billions of dollars would struggle to recoup that investment long term.

I see the wrestling fan base as shrinking anyway. Old stars are aging out and the new crop are never going to be household names like Hogan and Austin. At some point, I think the profitability at the top level of the industry is going to collapse.

So the reports a week or two back of Vince flying up to Canada to have personal talks with Cena, I wonder was that Vince telling Cena in person that he has to step down and retire because all the bad sh1t he did over the years has finally caugh up with him.

Or he was trying to lock him down to a signed agreement so Cena had plausible deniability when this came out. Vince definitely has 2 sides depending on whether you're one of his boys or not.

Was this posted? Mostly just saying it'll be a joint effort.

The flip side of HHH taking charge now is that there is some talent very worried that they will lose their spots to HHH's favourites.

Another 5m of missing money discovered on the books. Vince apparently caught making two other undisclosed payments.

The last two undisclosed $5m payouts look like they were paid to the former President of the United States of America Donald J. Trump

Didn't think he'd be Vince's type but I suppose he is blonde.

Who will Vince sell his shares to when he is finally pushed out.

I doubt he will just hand them over to Steph or Shane

Quarterly earns call shows Vince's issues and retirement have had no issue on the comapny and he is still the main power player in the company as the majority shareholder.

Stephanie McMahon noted that her father remains “very much the controlling shareholder” of the company, and “still has his eyes on what is best for our business in terms of maximizing return to our shareholders.”

Net income climbed to 58 cents a share, from 34 cents a share in the year-ago quarter, while revenue grew 24% to $328.2 million. Both metrics beat Wall Street analysts’ consensus estimates.

Yep in 2007 and 2009 which are also the years trump appeared on WWE tv.

Did anyone else think it doesn’t sit well that Vince is paying for part of the probe into which he’s the target of ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,698 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Trump had it written into his WM contract that even if Bobby dropped dead in the ring his hair would not be shaved off.

TMZ got a pic of Vince out with his new woman he was out on the beer with Cena and his wife.

Is Vince now sitting by his pool sipping cocktails or is he still doing "business dealings with wwe' ??

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,143 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Vince owned the company he will still have a stake in it until he dies even if he's not in operations any more or any day to day aspects he is still a shareholder.

Have to laugh at these pure shameless careerists helping him launch this inevitable coup. The same ones he fired a few years ago.

From the Observer, posted just before his return was confirmed….

    From this week's Observer:

-Vince had tried to come back in December, but the WWE board rejected him

-while Vince does have 81% of the shareholder voting power, this could drag out if the board takes him to court

-Vince's plan currently is to use his shareholder voting power to place himself, and the two former execs on the board (replacing three current members who have not been named) and then compel the board to name him Chairman

-Vince believes that the company needs to be sold soon, otherwise the potential sale price will decrease as media entities get more tight with spending

-Vince likely (but not confirmed) wants to remain in power after the company is sold, which is why he is acting now as he will lose shareholder voting power in a sale

-there are Federal and SEC investigations into Vince ongoing related to the allegations against him. the board asked Vince to stay away until the investigations are complete but Vince obviously refused.

    Two board members resigned today:

"Ignace Lahoud and Man Jit Singh have resigned from the Board, effective today."

This is separate from the three board members removed to make way for Vince McMahon, George Barrios & Michelle Wilson
