Jameson Coopers Crozer - reduced to clear from €70 to €28 in tesco

saw a label in Roxboro Limerick for it, but none on shelf and none in the other limerick stores either. Might be store specific, but may be available in other stores around the country.

the other versions, Blenders Dog and Distillers safe, are still marked and scanning at €70, but in a couple of the stores weren't on the shelf now - it could be that this range is not going to be sold anymore so these may also go on clearance.

Must be one of those Tesco delisting sales.

I'm a fan of most Jameson stuff but €70 for that series was too much of a stretch for me.

If only they'd bring back Jameson 1780 😪

Fingal County Council are certainly not competent to be making decisions about the most important piece of infrastructure on the island. They need to stick to badly designed cycle lanes and deciding on whether Mrs Murphy can have her kitchen extension.

20x 330cl Hop House for 21.50 in tesco... not amazing, but probably as cheap as they can sell it with MUP.

Hope you all haven't given up drinking.

    By Jaysus Christ.

60 Bottles of Krombacher in Tesco NI is €118. That's the 660ml stuff.

In my Centra here the equivalent volume in cans would be €205.92. 500ml Cans.

And that's Krombacher which is a decent beer. You can imagine the savings to be made on the budget stuff.

Special offer until Sunday if anyone going to Newry Sainsburys. You can get 25% off 6 or more bottles of wine. You can also use coupon CATBRGHYTP to get £18 off any order over £60. I've submitted an order for collection for 16 bottles of Hardy's pinot grigio for £46. I live in Donegal so getting mine from Sainsburys Derry. Make hay while the sun shines before minimum alcohol pricing comes to NI. 😂

Edit: I see 15 guinness widget cans are down to £15 also if you want to bulk out your order a bit.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,799 ✭✭✭jj880

Changed my order. They don't charge you until you collect. 4 hardys pinot, 4 hardys sauv blanc, 4 barefoot pinot, 4 mcguigans sauv blanc and 45 widget cans of Guinness. £94. Should keep us going for a while.

  • Registered Users Posts: 685 ✭✭✭POBox19

We're sorry, but voucher CATBRGHYTP is for First Time Shoppers only. Please see your voucher for terms and conditions. 😫

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,799 ✭✭✭jj880

Just use different email and phone number. Sainsbury's account sign up involves minimal details and is very quick.

Edit: I'm tempted to use the wife's email and phone number for a second voucher.

I'm planning a trip to France in Sept, I take Cork Roscoff ferry. I will have space to bring home some booze, any advice on how to make the best use of my boot space ( whether from cost saving or quality perspective) would be welcome.

If you're bringing wine, try to get boxes of wine insted of bottles - the glass weighs a lot compared to cardboard. Buy a couple of boxes to see what you like, and try it before you fill the boot. This is in Carrefour now...https://www.carrefour.fr/promotions?filters%5Bproduct.categories.id%5D=27070&noRedirect=1&page=3

Going to armagh this weekend any recommendations for best supermarket or offies for bang to the buck?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭snowgal

I can’t get past registration as it’s invalid code? Thanks 🙏

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,799 ✭✭✭jj880

Strange. What code? Post code? Use any post code e.g. BT48 6QX (try with and without the space)

You don't need to add full address when registering.

Coupon code isn't used until checkout.

  • Registered Users Posts: 685 ✭✭✭POBox19

They send a verification number by email which you must enter within 10 minutes. I use a NI postcode and a spare mobile nr. The code "CATBRGHYTP" is entered at the checkout stage where it asks for Coupons, it's not part of registration. Worked 15 minutes ago.

Two good outlets in roscoff a couple of Kms from the ferry. One is winecenter which is a small family run establishment. Vincent and Solene are the proprietors and they will give you a discount if you are buying a decent amount. If you are buying the wine boxes I would recommend petit pont in red, white or rose.

the other outfit is winebeersupermarket which has a big double decker red bus parked outside. It is always very busy. Ask here also for a discount.

if you google wine roscoff you will find their websites

Yes thanks, it was the eircode I was talking about, I used the one you gave and all set up now! Hope to head up Monday to collect 😊

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,799 ✭✭✭jj880

If you have your order in you are golden. Got mine this morning. Drive into car park. Buzz intercom. They come out and load it into your boot. Done.

Changed my order again last night to 60 widget cans. They did substitute my 4 x hardys VR pinot with hardys reserve pinot this morning which made the order £5 dearer BUT they gave me 5 bottles of the reserve pinot so happy with that. Wife very happy packing away her 17 bottles. I can do no wrong this weekend now 😂

Went to pour meself a nice stout there. Didn't fill the glass. Word of warning. Sainsbury's widget tins are 440ml. The dirty feckers! 😂 Any I've got down here are 500ml. Perfect for a pint glass.

Box's of wine, take up the least amount of space. They weigh a lot less, and are easily stacked.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,114 ✭✭✭mikeecho

I've been getting spirit deliveries on a regular basis... Never an issue.

Many years buying BIBs. IMO Vieux Carrion from Leclerc..... cabernet sauvignon, merlot (reds) and sauvignon blanc, Gascoigne (colombard sauvignon) are consitently good at 8/9 euro for 3 litres or 4 bottles ! Theres is also a Chardonnay which I don't go for but thats me. If you are there long enough buy one of each and taste....you can close them and bring home the remainder! Roche Mazet is another good one as is Les Ormes de Cambras. You can buy bottles of these to try (on the assumption the wine will be the same).Geant Casino have a few but not tasted recently.

Does any body know if there is a first-time discount code if you order with Asda? I bloody never confirmed my order with Sainsbury’s and now the 25% off Wine is gone! Silly me!

  • Registered Users Posts: 192 ✭✭tanka006

I just Googled Asda wine this morning & there is still 25% off - i am not aware of any first time discounts though - sorry

That's unfortunate, but can you still get the £18 first timer online discount = 30% off £60?
