It's happening whether you like it or not

, Ukraine is getting reunited as a whole and the orc's are getting smashed on a daily basis,it's gotten worse over the last few weeks and it's going to get a lot worse for them.

They could make it easy on themselves retreat back across the kerch straight or surrender and face the ukraine people for the genocide they committed

Well, I guess you continue believing what you believe and living in fantasyland where Ukraine will somehow get a victory I don't see it happening and I am not the only one. There are plenty of qualified people who share similar opinions.

But then again you would believe anything that was favourable to America and it's allies.

And yet again you use the racist term to refer to Russian people. How do you expect anybody to respect your opinion when you stoop that low?

Chalking it up as a case of "I honestly thought they were long dead already", Gorbachev has died aged 91. You'd wonder what he has made of the last 6 months and where his country has gone, geopolitically.

There was a statement issued by a journalist friend on his behalf saying that Putin had turned to ash everything good he'd done.

I'll see if I can find it. E.g. here:

I believe he took putins side while blaming nato for ukraine, while absolving Russia and Putin of blame in the last few months

  • Registered Users Posts: 925 ✭✭✭ilkhanid

...referring to the Russian invaders. Considering they way they've behaved in Ukraine the term is apposite.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,455 ✭✭✭jmreire

Talking about fantasyland, you are the one living there if you think that Russia will now ever rule Ukraine. After all the atrocities they have committed? No way. Putin gambled and he has lost, how ever long it takes, he can forget about Ukraine, and I include Crimea in that. Slava Ukraine

Another "accident" in Russia as Chairman Ravil Maganov of the Lukov energy company "accidently" has fallen out of a window from the 6th floor at a hospital he was being treated.

I didn't say that Russia would ever rule Ukraine, but I can certainly see them taking the black sea coast and leaving Ukraine cut off from the sea they already have control of a lot of resources and that used to belong to Ukraine without access to the black sea. Ukraine won't have much of an economy. I suspect this will happen sometime next year.

How do you think they are planning on holding all this Ukrainian land while the Ukrainians and slaughtering russian forces around the clock, they have lost sizable portion of their airforce, their navy in the black sea have been completely limited in movements because the fear of losing more ships to anti ship missles, Kherson is going to be cut off from all russian supplies and any possible re-enforcements,

russia is failing since day one ,russia has lost

  • Registered Users Posts: 213 ✭✭bobowen

Because they are not slaughtering Russian forces around the clock. Its called projection and the Ukrainians have been doing it since day one claiming Russians were being slaughtered in the thousands. The opposite is happening. Russia haven't even mobilised yet. Ukraine are dragging people off the streets of the main cities to bolster the front lines. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/07/25/world/middleeast/ukraine-soldiers-recruitment-draft.html

Zelensky needs a big win to justify the billions in weaponry that he says isn't going missing and being sold on the black market. If this "counter offensive" fails , as it looks like it is at this point due to the attacking forces being manned by a substantial amount of inexperienced reservists, the sending of weapons will most likely cease altogether.

Russia can play the long, slow game. Zelensky and Biden can't.

@bobowen Zelensky needs a big win to justify the billions in weaponry that he says isn't going missing and being sold on the black market.

Your clearly posting nonsense and russian propaganda, tell us about the secret chemical weapons labs the orcs discovered

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,235 ✭✭✭paul71

I had to check the date on this post to make sure it was not February. Are you seriously suggesting that the Russian army is going to advance out of Kerson, then take Mykolaiv and then take Odesa? The whole Black sea coast. That is sheer fantasy!

I do not know if Ukraine has enough to take Crimea but it does look like they believe they will take Kerson or they would not have attempted an attack there. So whatever about Ukraine taking ground on the Black sea coast which might be up for debate! Russia taking the black sea is beyond fantasy.

Out of curiosity, where are you sourcing your information that "they're supposed counterattack or counter-offensive. However you like to term it has failed"?

Biological labs were discovered by the Russians and it was admitted in US congress. They were funded by the US Department of Defense and not the Department of Health.

Why don't I let Victoria Nuland tell you instead of me.

Mainly from Russian, telegram channels and various people on Twitter yes I know you will come out and say it is propaganda but you have to be honest everything we are getting is propaganda either from Ukraine or Russia. All that I know is I have seen the videos of Ukrainian tanks and armoured personnel carriers being blown up by Russian, artillery and drones or aircraft.

I do find this source good and they appear to provide good and fair information about what is going on militarily on the ground in Ukraine.

Of course there will be footage of Ukranian assets blowing up; it's war. Nothing comes without cost.

The question is: who's losing equipment, troops or ground? The balance of information so far says Russian forces are the ones in larger trouble. Testimonies and proof saying otherwise would be more useful here than "here's footage of a Ukranian tank blowing up". WE've seen from yesterday there's evidence Ukraine have pushed into Kherson and Russia risks being cut-off. Again, evidence to the contrary would be useful here.

Yes; Russia is so successful that they claim to have blown up more HIMARS than what USA have shipped to Ukraine... And this is of course before we talk about certain ship that did not get blown up, did not have people die on it but sank in a storm out of the blue.

Russia claims Ukraine shelling the plant to stop the IAEA coming, Ukraine claims Russia shelling the plant to stop the IAEA coming.

At least finally the day is here and the IAEA mission have entered Russian controlled Zaporizhzhia, so the 'he said she said' crap may cease and we may finally get a definitive answer as to who is shelling a fecking nuclear plant.

Best (realistic) outcome is that the plant remains under control by the IAEA, though probably with a Russian cordon surrounding for the time being. Maybe then the shelling will stop.

    See another unfortunate "accidental death"

Surprising that Gorbachev did not have his throat slashed on his death bed.Who knows ,maybe he did.

    Wow.

Fair enough Gatling. We'll agree to differ on this one.

  • Registered Users Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

Nothing to differ about really one post is factual the other is false .

Labs were based in Ukraine from the time of Soviet occupation to today, the international community including eu and American keep the labs secure since ukraine decided on independence from russia

it's not a big secret now and it wasn't a big secret 8 years ago

  • Registered Users Posts: 213 ✭✭bobowen

So let me get this straight...

The labs contain Russian biological materials from over 30 years ago and the Americans are making sure they are secure?

    As I said. Wow.

As you acknowledge yourself Telegram is certainly not a reliable source. Often there are just random videos with little or no context or verification.

I watch a few of those YouTube channels that monitor the changing front lines as well. The difficulty for them, with this particular Kherson offensive ,is that the Ukrainians are implementing a media blackout on their side. That means that almost all of the information is coming from Russian army sources or Telegram channels so it's certainly not the full story.

Hopefully it won't take too long for us to get the truth about who was really shelling the nuclear plant, the inspectors arrived at the plant recently.

Video of the IAEA convoy approaching Energodar. In addition to the Tigr and Patrol-A armored vehicles of the Russian Guard, the mission vehicles are also escorted by a Mi-8 helicopter.

Do you think there's US "bioweapons" in Ukraine - Is that it?? You usually try to stick closer to reality with your distortions + nonsense!

The Soviet Union had a world-beating biological weapons programme despite lying to the world + signing the UN biological weapons convention. Some of this was based in Ukraine I think + there was US involvement in monitoring it and decommissioning it. I doubt there's much of anything left now but am sure some of the scientists are still knocking about.

God knows what's lurking inside the freezers in Putin's Russia though, no one from outside has been allowed to look into that for a long time. Doesn't seem to get mentioned much, certainly didn't get as much odd-ball attention as Ukraine's "biolabs" did at one stage.

Probably all the horrors are carefully stored away + ready to be pulled out if needed given they have hung onto the old Soviet chemical weapons expertise (Novichok) and find a use for that.
