Mitro runs into Chelsea and Spurs now and while I normally go with form over fixtures once he rises in price to give me an extra 0.1m I'm seriously tempted to sell him for Isak for the next 4 games and then get him back on WC in GW9 after the international break if it is necessary. Newcastles fixtures are very tasty and Isak really impressed last night, I reckon he outscores Mitro over the next four GWs. But who takes Newcastles penalties and is there any chance Isak could get them? Thats the one downside to selling Mitro if its for a player without pens

Actually looking to go the opposite way - upgrading one of my 4.4 strikers to Mitro and funding that by switching Walker for Dias.

The other thing I was looking at was getting in Darwin for a 4.4 and funding that by selling Luis Diaz for someone cheap. Not sold on that plan but if Darwin starts scoring (and looked great in his games so far) then he could be a real different option.

I did like the look of Isak last night tho so that's another option....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Darwin was in my plans too but if I go Isak then its a no go. I only just bought Diaz so want to give him a few games, if he doesnt work out I am going to can that £8m midfeld position altogether and then might get Darwin in. Ive had Mitro since day 1 and he's done well but I get a good feeling about Isak too but Id need to buy him before his first price rise or else I'll miss out.

He scored twice against Liverpool, 1 against Arsenal and one against Brighton.

    Arsenal was away game.

I wouldn't bench him if I had him.

He is solid third option in attack now.

White is sharing minutes with Tomiyasu and we are only 5 games in, lets see what the next 5 games bring, but he's anything but nailed compared to Saliba.

Saliba and Gabriel have played every minute this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

White has started every game. That's what I said and I was right. I was wrong that Saliba was the one that would lose out but I was right that White would not be benched.

My whole point was based on White. I never said anything bad about Saliba, all my reasoning was based around White not being dropped.

So just admit I was right about White and move on.

Lingard the most logical Forest player to bring in vs. terrible Bournemouth? Humming and hawing between him and Gross, Bruno G is coming out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Bournemouth didn't look that bad against Wolves. They may be on a new manager bounce for a couple of games.

  • Registered Users Posts: 305 ✭✭The Guru 123

Neco maybe? Bournemouth creating nothing so great chance of a CS and even 1 attacking return from him could mean a 12-15 pointer

Struggling with getting rid of Kulu for Zaha. Kulu is hit or miss so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,438 ✭✭✭Shedite27

I thought Morgan Gibbs White looked excellent against tough opposition in Spurs/City. looks their most dangerous player. Big differential with a great fixture list

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,841 ✭✭✭crushproof

Taken a punt on Ward Prowse in for Rodrigo. Decent run of fixtures and of course the south coast set piece specialist

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

I'm looking at him too. He was taken off at 57' against City but I think Cooper prob conceded the game and wanted to rest his best players.

Thought he looked good too and might be worth a punt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 332 ✭✭trigger26

Like the look of Isak for Newcastle, have replaced Rodrigo with cheap leeds mid fielder to allow swap

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,815 ✭✭✭bantee

Have 2 FTs so thinking Rodrigo & DaSilva to Gross & Almiron. McAllister would save me .4 too but I think Gross is on pens so that's swaying it.

Am I missing any obvious transfers? I could just roll 1 FT and leave Almiron alone and play Neco instead.

MacAllister scored a penalty vs. West Ham while Gross was on the pitch, if that affects your decision at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Top 20 players at the minute with their next three fixtures.

Yeah they're definitely the most sensible options but just don't excite me whereas Sinisterra is giving off Raphinha vibes.

Swapped out Dasilva for Aaronson with my free transfer.

    Swapped out Rodrigo for Zaha.

McAllister has scored two penalties this season with gross on the pitch so safe to say he’s the number one penalty taker.

  • 2 transfers available and 1.1m ITB. - Any suggestions?

Upgrade Iversen to another keeper and have that new keeper as your starting keeper

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,438 ✭✭✭Shedite27

It feels like there's far more "Green" fixtures this year than ever before. I get that they need time to evaluate teams but most players upcoming fixtures seem to have a lot of green

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Bailey out and maybe Lingard or Neto in for the next game. You'll get three games out of Lingard, only one from Neto but he's due a big one.

Alternatively, Walker out, Dalot in and Bailey out, Ward-Prowse in. I think you can afford that.

Yeah, I think it's based on results from last season with newly promoted teams and those from the bottom eight last season down as green for everybody including other newly promoted teams.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,816 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

You need a keeper - pretty much any playing keeper would be better than what you have

I don't see the value in Kulu at all - others do, but the likes of Maddison or Zaha have better returns, only for a great DDG save yesterday, Maddison would have score a freekick.

I'd get Sanchez for Iversen if I were you, hop off the Leicester GK's.

Gabriel to Tripper too is something I'd look at. Newcastle have nice fixtures coming up.

    Tell Rachel I say hello.

I've seen some stuff about getting rid of Walker? What's the rationale, I don't see him being rotated, do city have much cover in that position?

Solid 6 pointer for £5 million

Gomez could come in at LB and move Cancelo to RB to rest Walker.

    I think it's unlikely myself.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,830 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Tempted to shift Peresic to James for a hit but I’d rather be more confident he won’t start v Fulham. The -4 would pay for itself quickly I’m sure of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Walker is a bit injury prone, it's been a while since he played close to a full season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,688 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Im still trying to make a decision on whether to bring in Isak for Mitrovic. Isak was very impressive v Liverpool, he took to the PL like a duck to water. But it seems wrong to be selling a player in form like Mitro is though, if anyone has any thoughts Id like to hear it. It would be a 3-4 game plan with the option to get Mitro back on the wildcard if necessary. Can only do it tonight as Ive got the exact money and Isak is likely to price rise when his price becomes unlocked.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Used my 2FTs: Robertson to Trippier & Stansfield to Mitrovic

Anyone looking at starting Neco Williams this week?? Not sure who to bench , here's how my team is currently looking

    Ederson

    TAA, Cancelo, Trippier, James

    Salah, Martinelli, Gross

    Jesus, Mitrovic, Haaland(C)

    Subs: Ward, Andreas, DaSilva, Neco

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,438 ✭✭✭Shedite27

2FT's for me, hoping Reece James drops 0.1 tonight so that I can afford...

    Robertson, Rodrigo out

    James, Zaha in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

If I had your team, it's unlikely I'd start Neco Williams.

Maybe over Mitrovic but I think there could be a goal for him v Spurs.

  • Registered Users Posts: 332 ✭✭trigger26

I’d say you’ll get to see him another game before the price rise, that’s what I’m hoping for

    I'm fairly certain Nunez starts.

    Been text this team

    Alisson

    TAA   Gomez   Virg   Robbo

      Milly    Fab    Elliot

      Diaz   Nunez   Salah

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

How certain is that team @Fitz*?

Holding off making transfers in case Robertson gets dropped - which I think is quite unlikely anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,079 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

I'd be 85% confident of that team. Tbth at the moment it's only really Firmino or Nunez that is a possible change anyways. Not many options, but Tsimikas is one. He is coming on for 20/25/30 mins every other game anyways. I'd say Robbo will only play 65/70 max on the Derby anyways as he is having his minutes managed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,100 ✭✭✭whitelightrider

I know this is going to come back to bite me, but Im sticking with Kulu over Zaha for this GW.

    looking At WC soon.

took a -4 this week, late late last night.

    Zinchenko-Saliba

    Rodrigo-Rodri

I've also benched TAA and Alison as I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet in the derby, and Everton have scored in every game so far…

the dice is rolled now, we’ll see how it works out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Surely you have TAA for his attacking output more than his defensive output?

Capable of getting points against anyone.

yes, but bar the Bournemouth game, he’s been pretty poor this season. Aside from looking at the points, have you seen him play? I don’t know what’s going on with Liverpool, but it’s like they’re a different team or something.

Salah barely touched the ball in the second half of the Newcastle game. So much so, I had to check to see if he was subbed and I missed it.

My team for this week is

    Raya

    Cancelo Perisic Saliba

    Salah Martinelli Jensen Gross Rodri

    Haaland(c) Jesus

bench: Allisson TAA Greenwood N. Williams

Like a poster above, I’m thinking in my WC I’ll be leaving Salah out, for KDB

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Looking at the first five gameweeks below and Foden and Haaland seem like the two that might be looking at getting rested today especially when you look at City's next five fixtures which come in 17 days. Everybody else has had a week off.

Now the one thing is that Arsenal are top and are away to United tomorrow so he might want to ensure three points in the hope they go top by the end of the weekend. Only thing then is where do they get a week off?

Would you fancy Gundogan, KDB, Mahrez, Grealish, Alvarez to get it done today? That lineup would mean that everybody has had a game off in the last four.

    EPL: Aston Villa away

    UCL: Sevilla away

    EPL: Spurs at home

    UCL: Dortmund at home

    EPL: Wolves away

All the above are tougher games than today. If Foden and Haaland are going to get rested it's going to be today I think.

GW 1: Gundogan, KDB, Grealish, Foden, Haaland

GW 2: Gundogan, KDB, Mahrez, Foden, Haaland

GW 3: Gundogan, KDB, Bernardo, Foden, Haaland

GW 4: Bernardo, KDB, Mahrez, Foden, Haaland

GW 5: Gundogan, Bernardo, Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden, Haaland.

I think I gotta go with Salah today after being bullish about Haaland all week.

    Wrong thread.

The disappointing Kulusevski and invisible Archer out for MacAllister and Isak.

Mitrovic was the obvious option but willing to take a gamble on Isak

The above has me thinking now…

what would you choose for this week, which one of TAA, Gross or Jensen?
