I’d be workin under the assumption now that Roman is holding the title until at least Mania. Probably have Cody win the Rumble in his return. Because the only chance they have of topping that sort of crowd, which would have had a 10/10 reaction for a title switch, is a Mania crowd who are hot for Cody finally winning the biggest one.

Is it not a given that it's Rock/Roman at WM? Which Roman should still win then get toppled by someone else.

The Other Uso worked perfectly with the weeks of NXT debuts eye em oh as everyone was pointed to Kross, Theory, Owens, Fury...

I hope They run with this thing of challengers popping up too fast for Reigns to put down. It's a way to build some contenders across the winter (unless the Saud House show wet farts all over the streak).

Did I miss it before or is the Damage Control name new for Bayley's group?

So after splitting Fabian Aichner from Imperium, repackaging him as Giovanni Vinci with a new character, they just put him back in Imperium where he'll likely be abandoning his new character.

I expected interference in the main event and since the Usos weren't there, I expected Sami. There a reason it wasn't him? Apart from using it as a way to bring in Solo.

So why wasn't Fury escorted from the building after punching Theory? I wish they had to save us from that post main event crap.

It was a stupid decision to not put the title on Drew since Roman didn't have any backup, seemingly. And after missing this opportunity, it wouldn't be a good decision to have Drew win off Roman later, unless he still has the title the next time they're in this part of the world.

Rock/Roman doesn't need the title. No-one would believe that Rock is coming back for a title run anyway. Just have it be for the Head of the Table/Patriarch of the Samoans honour or something.

Sounds good in theory but I can't stick another 3 months of this until Mania season, unless Owens and Sami are going to carry a feud with them until January.

Drew must be feuding and putting over Kross so he's out of the picture.

Ya, I can't see anyone beating Roman any time soon. You're basically now down to Cody or Rollins at Royal Rumble or WM (could have The Rock interfere at Rumble or something leading to a Rollins win and then Cody Vs Rollins for titles and Roman Vs Rock without them).

Last night was a great shot at finding a way just to split them and have Drew take the Raw title and leave Roman with the other until he needs to drop it.

If it isn't for the title then it's not on the Island of Relevancy therefore not worth doing.

I don't blame people for being tired with it though. Had enough of absent championship with Lesnar the second go around myself but the difference with Reigns - for me - is that it's character where Lesnar was scheduling.

The Bloodline crap has run its course 6 months short of when the pay off is due, I would have thought HHH was smart enough to see that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,558 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Since Roman has beaten everyone that is credible over the last few years multiple times and made them all look like jobbers.

If he is going to drop the titles surely he must do it to someone who can really get a rocket from it like Rick Steiner's kid.

He comes up and beats Roman clean in his first match on the main roster and they havejust built a major babyface star there in one match.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,118 ✭✭✭ThePott

    That could work.

I think in general, the problem with the Rock match is, Roman beats the Rock, then what?

He's essentially wiped out every possible person at that point. It really just seems like it's all in expense of one main event, which I'm still not sure is possible to make happen. I say that as someone who generally likes the Bloodline stuff. It certainly doesn't need the title, nevermind both though.

They've moved away from a title defense at every ppv, focusing on the gimmick matches at gimmick ppvs, so theoretically Romans not defending till Day 1, plenty of time to build someone up. If the reign ends before we get Roman/Sami it'll all be for nothing anyway.

Roman should put over Jey ultimately

I think HHH should have ref'd the end of the main event, having Drew win

Well that was a great experience, view was perfect (I went with my original ticket and not the £115 one I picked up later)

Atmosphere was great as was the tron, best matches imo were Riddle vs Rollins and Sheamus vs Gunther. So disappointed Ronda didn't show up (after been advertised in early promotions) and few others were missing too (KO, Styles, Lashley). *card subject to change* and all that

Was amazing to see Rey and Edge live again , we finally got the Domink heel turn and it was embarrassingly entertaining. Its going to be an awkward fued but that's wwe for ya

Was stuck in the bar que bloody missed the "broken dreams"entrance. The main event was good even If it had that meh ending. At this rate Theory will never cash in. Nice handy trip over for Kross and the misses. We have a third Uso

Overall great experience and definitely do it again if a ppv ever returns to this side of the world. The city was hopping with everyone in great spirits. My god its an expensive past time esp with that superstore. Definitely need a lot of dough for a mania trip

So is Rhea storyline shagging Rey's kid?

Her real life boyfriend was storyline shagging Rey's daughter when he was still in the company.

The WWE really is a strange company when it comes to this kind of creppy stuff.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,770 ✭✭✭hynesie08

Rhea and Dominick are the same age, the Murphy thing was creepy though, especially since it seemed to be in the middle of speaking out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,243 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

@PTH2009 were you able to get rid of the other ticket?

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

    Nope

I have it insured but not expecting to get a refund

  • Registered Users Posts: 86,243 ✭✭✭✭JP Liz V1

Becks and Seth must have cleaned out Elton John's wardrobe

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,043 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

    Was Becky there?

Loved the event, seemed liked camera cuts were kept down a bit.

Yeah there was stuff I found bad, but sure I can't like anything. Solid show with mat he's that had me guessing. We are entering , I hope, a purple patch as fans.

All things like Drew getting a water bottle thrown against him and then slow reveal to Kross

The ref pull from Soloa being off cam

Fury hitting Theory outta no where shows they are atleast attempting to pay attention to detail.

Stowman reference, alluding to Sky and Asukas history. Its all welcome nuances that was badly needed.

Also Seth Rollins dressed as Elton John was just Fabulous. It fi ally seems like it clicked. Rollins needed the win after the Cody fund. Riddle is unfazed by it!

Gunther and Shemus was perfection( Irish Whip and Fight Factory both getting a mention). The tease of chop v beats of Bpdhran was just brilliant storytelling.

Dominic interfering to sway the match in Edge and Reys way then turning was jarring but sure **** it.

    Now gonna watch some AEW!

    A great night

Loved the event and had a great time in Cardiff. I thought more would happen and we’d get more than 6 matches, maybe some promos etc. I have to say, for me ending was a major letdown and they’ll never have a chance like this with McIntyre again. I left when the karaoke stuff started as that was pretty cringe and ended the show on a very flat note imo. It was great to mingle with other fans- plenty of.. interesting characters.. let’s see.. would I go again? Not sure tbh.. the cost of the tickets never sat right with me.. glad I went but I think that’s a one off

Spotted (former?) Boardsie Kane-en-ite getting the big hug from Sheamus after the match. Cathal is at all the big events.

Camera work has much improved. I haven't watched a WWE event in quite some time (perhaps 3 yrs), but watched this, and really enjoyed it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Thank god fate picked the weekend it did for this event

  • Registered Users Posts: 60,558 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Sheamus & Walter given 5 stars by Meltzer and well deserved.

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Kind of guessed that bollocks wasn't suppose to air all over the globe

  • Registered Users Posts: 773 ✭✭✭TimesArrow

Even by WWE standards, the immediate change in tone was ridiculous. I was there and the moment the singing started, the atmosphere turned very flat and most people around me ( as well my self) got up and left. The whole thing made Drew look like a weird loser and I don’t know how they thought this would “send the fans home happy” awful

  • Registered Users Posts: 38,321 ✭✭✭✭PTH2009

Rumours of another UK PPV taking place next year

If its happening be nice to get a leak of venue/location etc. Get those hotel prices when there low
