A large glut of players in rotten form. Hard to continue to make other excuses to explain it in the hope everything will be grand. Don't usually criticise Klopp but how the **** is he continuing to pick and watch Milner, Gomez and Trent. Ok we have no backup available for Trent but we had the summer to look at it since his form dropped off a cliff long before last season ended. The long season we just had and the failure to refresh the squad adequately and keep things ticking over has finally caught up with us. Big job for Klopp to turn this slump around. So many players woefully off form. Haven't figured out yet if the lack of intensity and running is down to fatigue or laziness.

Have to say guys that Virgil is after losing pace and sharpness. He is making challenges he wouldn't need to make 2 years ago and worst of all is he is getting them wrong.

It be him I'd be swapping out for matip more than Gomes

There's parts of the performance we can at least understand like Milner, Gomez, Trentbut what has happened to Fabhino of late he's really really slowed

Offloading Neco Williams was another mistake. TAA is an untouchable, it seems. I'd nearly play Tsimikas there at this stage.

Guardiola may have the right idea when it comes to the off season, the last few years he's been giving the players an extra couple of weeks off and only playing two or three pre-season games.
