After the failed counteroffensive in Kherson. Ukraine commits suicide in Kharkiv. Although there are pushing out thinly lines of Russian control and taking quite a bit of land, they are not slaughtering the Russian army. As a result of their narrow path, there could be problems. Ukraine has thrown a lot of manpower into this, but Russia brings superior weapons to defend the previously weakest points could leave Ukraine troops out in open and nowhere to run. Ukraine moved reserves to fight here failure here could have huge implicatons.

Reality is Ukraine has had eight war mobilizations women and men drafted. Russia hasnt drafted its populace anywhere the scale Ukraine has. Russia has more scope to expand this war to crazy scale if needs t o Ukraine already has at this point . Crazy scale could cause lot of damage Putin fails to act in time.

Lol. So you're pretty upset with the latest Ukrainian advances then.

Must be heartbreaking considering you were claiming that you guys would conquer the place in a few days.

Punched through a gap that wasn't well defended. Keep going, they kept going. There's a stall now around Izyum. Russians have reacted and brought in reinforcements. In a few days, this offensive will stall. They had to go on counteroffensive to justify all these billons send to them by US military complex. Everything will grind to a halt soon, just like Kherson. Ukraine is losing a lot of youth on a massive scale. Russia hasnt even used its main army here full of contract soldiers and DNR and LPR fighters. Russia views this fight as a special operation and not a full-scale conflict. Even with all the nonsense in west Russia has brought its full capabilities to the battle. Total war by Russia be WW2 scale of destruction..

50,000 Russian dead corpses rotting away on Ukrainian soil.

    Tick Tock….

Lol. Really trying to pretend to be an expert, huh?

Cheerful, you've no credibility here. You've shown yourself repeatedly to not know anything about anything. What do you think you're accomplishing here by making this silly fanboyish proclamations about Russia?

You've already been wrong about how they were going to take the country in a few days. And in a few weeks. And the last time you claimed that the hammer was about to drop.

Why would anyone think that this time is different?

Honestly, it sounds like you're just swallowing and repeating Russian propaganda without any thought because you think it makes you a rebel thinker.

    https://www.npr.org/2022/07/03/1109625359/ukraine-luhansk-donbas-russia/

Russia says it now controls Ukraine's Luhansk region, one of the two eastern regions that have been the focus of its invasion of Ukraine. That is the result of Russia failing to meet its objectives? Listening to western news makes you a moron.

    That's Ukraine number. Of nonsense

Pentagon estimate 15,000 to 20,000 Russian dead that i would not argue over.

Lol He says, spouting Russian propaganda cause he swallowed it whole.

So are people supposed to believe that you are an expert in Russian affairs and they should just ignore all of your other conspiracy claims and nonsense or...?

None. He's only posting here because he's banned from the Russia thread.

Cheerful has been the only 9/11 truther on this forum for a good few years now, and even he doesn't want to talk about it any more.

You should really stop getting your informed from pro Russian sources, I know you won't, I'm just saying you should.

    Anyway, in the real world.

Kharkiv wasn't captured by Russians. The held some regions in this Oblast was just a control point . It was like a month ago that Ukraine was winning there anyway, so what's the big deal? Some people make it out to be more important than it is. In Luhansk and Donbas, Russia has consolidated its forces here. In those places, Russia has taken a lot of time to win. When Ukraine gets some breakthroughs there, then something up. Since Russia has limited forces, pulling out of Kharkiv and taking the Donbas makes sense. If they want more Ukraine oblasts, they need to declare war and increase manpower to the fight . Putin trying to limit the destruction here, but he's also fighting Nato here. There's a risk of escalation declaring war and going after leadership, communications, water, railways, food, but Russia's at war,

Is that the latest nonsense coming from Russian propaganda? Russia has run. Scrambling away in a rout. I expect them to regroup, but at the rate they retreated I suspect many soldiers will continue into Russia to escape their living hell in Ukraine.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭Cheerful S

What's that? I'm sure the Kremlin's talking about beefing up its force in Ukraine right now. They've got reserves and professional forces. A massive counteroffensive by Russia would not surprise me in the slightest. How long it will take to assemble a force to be ready is anyone's guess. There is already a noticeable increase in Russian military traffic headed to Ukraine.

Thry must be running short of equipment for the paper soldiers you are talking about them sending in. When you have to recruit prisoners and conscript 130k people, then you are running low on “professional” soldiers. I emphasised professional, because they have proven that they are anything but.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭Cheerful S

They moved troops back because they could not defend those lines with the troops they had. There's no point in wasting troops on places they can't hold. This not a rout it s smart play. Just like the Ukraine who gave up lysychansk and other cities pull back and fight another day. Wise decisions not idiotic.

Ukraine's tactical success in the region has been going on for months. The only noticeable change is Ukraine threw reserves at Kharviv to take it back. Few hundred troops held the areas that Russia took. There is no sign of Russian collapse here, but Ukraine needs a win to back up the west support.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭Cheerful S

All together, the Russian army has 900,000 soldiers. It's not a declared war so Putin isn't using them. What's fighting in Ukraine is the lowest level of Russian manpower, conscripts, and Wagner. DPR and LNR mobization forces. Need to remove tag of special operation and declare war and see the main armies of Russia fight here. A declaration of war is something Putin prefers right now to not  declare, it means total war on Ukraine and its people.

    😂😂😂

Putin getting his arse handed to him, Russian troops in-fighting, deserting, surrendering and what… he’s holding back his best troops because of a fooking technicality ?

Oh, I miss Cheerful in the main threads… although there’s only so much you can see one person getting thrashed. They should only be banned for a month and let them back again for hilarity purposes.

Final question, how does Ukraine’s feint in Kherson to divert Russian troops from the real offensive target fit into the Russian master strategist?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,487 ✭✭✭Fighting Tao

Do you never read your posts before clicking submit as a bullshit filter?

If it was a tactical withdrawal why was there panic? Why were dozens of APC’s, tanks, and artillery left behind in working order? Why was there mountains of ammo left behind? Usually an army in an organised retreat would destroy what they can’t take so it can’t be used against themselves.

The Russian army were routed completely in Kharkiv, and they fled as fast as they could. The speed they were moving and panic within, I’d expect half of them to be almost in Moscow by now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,487 ✭✭✭Fighting Tao

So they lost 1000’s of vehicles, dozens of airframes, and their flag ship amongst other vessels because Putin couldn’t give a crap about them. I hope your colleagues don’t see that you have muddied the name of Putin and spoke of the army with disgrace or else you may find yourself tumbling out a window.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭Cheerful S

Kherson was a massive failure. Ukraine attempted incursions and attacked weakest-held areas controlled by Russia. Kherson has better defenses as it s held since start of the war called it off.. A new counteroffensive was launched

So far, Kharviv has been more efficient. I wouldnt celebrate over the top because this will only wake up the Russian leadership. Russia despite what people online in west saying playing nice. Communications and energy grids are still up in major cities, so you wouldn't even know there's a war going on in some of these places. Some some decisions likely be made to put the country in darkness and start a total war.

Raping, pillaging, kidnapping is Russia playing nice? Get outta here.

So, are you going to keep saying everything Russia loses is of no strategic value?

How is Russia going to attack Ukraine infrastructure… you do know they are scared shîtless to fly near the front lines, never mind behind the lines. Maybe they have a few more S300s they can use as missiles… Ukraine has better AA Anti missile technology now… maybe this is all news to you… total war? More like total collapse.

BTW, are you any bit worried about unrest in your Far East oblasts or China ‘helping’ you out by sending troops across the border)

Oh, btw ^^^ you STILL thinking Ukraine was trying to attack Kherson. Jezze at least realise you were played?

  • Registered Users Posts: 829 ✭✭✭blackwave

Ok, understood that losing 2,500 km in a few days, a load of equipment, your puppet Denis Pushilin fleeing is a smart play and not a rout.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,245 ✭✭✭Cheerful S

Looks like Russia struck key energy facilities tonight. There's an upset Zelensky. Is Putin finally waking up to the need for total war?

Nah, Russia has form for attacking civilian infrastructure, hospitals etc. He would take out all of Ukraines infrastructure if he could ( he disconnected the nuclear power plan) its just that he cannot, apart from just over the border.

    “The need for total war”

Was one hand under the desk when you typed that?
