Do we really need Cork? I think we should let Cork float off and be there own country then.

Things in Cork don't "happen" us Corkonians make them happen. Warmer Winters, good pubs and West Cork is the Lanzarote of Ireland in Summer with the beaches. What isn't there to like.

Since the double in 1990 we haven't had much all Ireland success in both codes at all. Still though 1990 was a great year for all Irish people, and it was even better if you were from Cork as well! Any county can win one senior all Ireland, but Cork are still the only county since 1900 to win both senior all Irelands in the one year. Whether it's pride (and i have serious pride in being from Cork) envy, or hatred, no other county (with the exception of possibly Dublin) brings out peoples emotions like we do. People seem to either love us or hate us.😁

Cork is the most productive county in the country anyway. Let's take our Apple industry, our Pfizer money, the rest of the tech and pharma industry money that's based here, our meat, fish and dairy and the maritime and shipping industry.

Cork would be happily loaded without the drain of the rest of the country dragging around our necks.
